He plans to race in the Nationwide Series full-time in 2008.
It would appear that a "loose cannon" has trouble keeping a full-time ride in Cup racing ...

I'll give "the weapon" the benefit of doubt here...he was working for Gene Haas this past season.

At least Johnny Sauter was able to stay out of prison ... http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g202/gr8link/orn/00.gif

Yep, with Cup running the COT snails at all the tracks in 2008 ...
a caution flag could add some excitement ... http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g202/gr8link/orn/w2.gif

Johnny Sauter would take a 10th place car and drive it to a 15th or 20th place finish in Busch. Why do we expect more out of him in Cup. I don't expect more than a mid pack ride from him in Busch next year.

even with RCR equipment, he was a joke in both Cup and Busch. in 2003 when they won the Owners title, Sauter still had a tough time getting quality finishes even with one of the best cars in the field

He had a quality finish at Richmond the year they won the Owner's title when he and Harvick played pinball with Kenseth. But hey, if that's the only way you know how to win a race, by all means! A lot of RCR drivers over the years won races that way. :D
