Dani had an okay season but Vale beat him in the championship and nearly always does well in polls like this. Reckon Ant West deserves a mention even if not top 10. Looked really good at Donnington and could have done much better if he'd been a bit calmer in the opening few laps. Also I'd be tempted to put Vermuelan higher up, partly because he's really good and partly because he comes across as a really cool guy.

Really? I got bored and didn't pay attention to the last 2 or 3 rounds so in my head Rossi beat him  Seriously though for me the championship finished when Stoner won, I found this season a bit dull and tuned out. I think that says more about the excitement of the past few seasons more than anything else though.

Seems to me most of the Rossi fans found the 07 season boring... hmmm wonder why :p
If anything MotoGP is actually exciting again now that the 'overnight special' tyre rule has been dropped. And the talent level is in balance again, 08 will be a corker season with a lot of teams and riders with a lot to prove and many will have a fair crack at it too. :s mokin:

Yes I like Rossi but not some crazed fan. 07 was a bit lame as all too often Stoner was too quick, Rossi a bit behind and then the rest. Didn't seem to have the battles of 06. Catalunya was a good race but we didn't get many battles with more than 2 people in, not just for the lead but further down the field.

My list:
1) Dovizioso
2) Stoner
3) Lorenzo
4) Talmacsi
5) Passini
6) Bautista
7) Hopkins
8) Faubel
9) De Puniet
10) Kallio
Just some names I've been impressed by, nothing more :) and a list influenced by the fact that I've enjoyed more of the racing in the 125 and 150 classes this year. I'd agree with Miguel on the '07 season - I got bored with the processional nature of some of the GP races, and it seemed to me that the 800cc bikes offer less chances for the riders to really live on the edge.
Dunno what it was, though - it didn't really seem like I saw many riders able to exploit opportunities, or to really get into cut, thrust and parry type racing. But watch the 125's, and you know there's gonna be hell on before they get to the chequered flag!

Cant wait for 08
Most still think its the bike and the tires that made the ducati fast
A few more wins may get them to eat their words

Well why then where Loris and Alex not at the very least battling it out for #2 and #3 is my constant response to the nay sayers..... Not once have I heard a legitimate excuse as to why the other Ducati riders where unable to match Stoners pace and consistency.
The Rossi groupies are still rallying around the hope? (excuse) that Loris was/is too old and now has kids, therefor lacked motivation in 07???? and also that Alex was thretened with mafioso wacking by the Ducati factory if he dared overtake Casey???? got to hand it to those clown fans eh :bigcry:
Roll on 08 :s mokin:
