Well, after qualifying today I reckon it's going to be between Yvan and Farfus. Even though both Farfus and Andy Priaulx have the same weight handicap (as does Yvan) there's nearly a second difference in the qualifying time between the two beemers.

I love Macau, even though there's only a couple of real overtaking places. And one of those usually ends up in a multi car concertina.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I just hope I'm wrong and Andy (or James) sneak it ....

Priaulx is right in the midfield, if there is a first lap pile-up (and there so often is) then he is in real trouble. Right now I have to say Yvan Muller is very likely to claim the title.

I'd really like to see Yvan add the WTCC title to his BTCC one and he'sin a good position to do it. Just hope the FIA donm't want someone else to win as what with happened in F1 this year the FIA have the powers to wreck a good title fight.

Colin's done pretty well considering the FIA decided to give him extra ballast, meaning he's running with 90kg in total. Can't wait until the races now. :D

I'm disappointed Watson's didn't step up to sponsor the BMW team this year.

Priaulx!

This man is a Touring Car Legend! Seems like he just finds it hard to lose a title!

Indeed, although I did have my fingers crossed for James at the start of the 2nd race. He's done so well this year, considering the package. Anyway, he seemed pretty chuffed on the podium and in the interview. So ... well done, mate.

BTW, didn't seem to be many old STCC racers in the top 3, hmm?

Congratulations Andy :champion:

Fantastic to have 22 races and still have 3 drivers (2 of them British!) in contention for the title. My heart went out to Yvan, one of the unluckiest guys around, but Mr P did yet another fantastic job.

Congratulations on Prilaux winning the title.....is starting to feel a bit like Schumacker in F1 though, having the same winner for the last 4 years!!!!

Also, liking that team Air Cool are still getting some exposure in Macau, even though they aren't racing there :-p

Congratulations Andy. You are a true racing champion in my eyes now.

I look at what consitutes consistency and what makes a fighter to me and to me your the damn closest thing I have seen to it in ages.

The TDi Leons of Yvan and Gabriele may have had power and the Lacetti's may have had a sucessful areodynamic package; both introduced during the season, but am I right in thinking guys theirs something to be said for having consistency and a lot of fighting spirit over the whole season and not introducting it half or three quarters of the way through?

Because look at what Andy achieved.

Commiserations Yvan. Here's to hoping for a more succesul 2008 season. But congratulations Any. You earned your title 100%.

I sat up and watched an overnight race for the first time in ages. Andy Priaulx is a cracking driver, and seems to be a nice guy, but I was convinced he couldn't do it 4 times in a row. The field is pretty much the best field there is, and the accomplishment is outstanding. Congratulations.

I would love him to get Sports Personality of the year, but there is no chance of that, and that is so wrong.

A Triple World Champion. Four consecutive titles in the top Touring Car series on the planet, and all whilst rubbing it in Schnitzer's faces every single time. Fabulous.

Well done to Andy for his fourth Title in a row. It's a massive shame that he won't get the exposure he deserves from it.

That's because that's GR Asia's pit next door who effectively were Team Aircool last season.

Well done Andy Priaulx! What a driver! He really is going to be a legend of touring cars :D
A real shame for Yvan Muller, so unlucky. Also James Thompson deserves so much credit for somehow hauling that ageing Alfa Romeo into title contention.

One little pity is that here we have a brilliant British (and Guernsey :D ) success story and I doubt it'll get so much as a mention in the national media.

Well done Andy.
I missed the first race as i deep down did`nt think he had a chance from his grid position. Got to work just as race 2 started and we were glued to the tv. What will be the odds for doing it again next year.

He already is

Well done Andy, a brilliant and well deserved 3rd world title, and well done JT as well, he drove brilliantly all season in outdated machinery

On an earlier point the Daily Express yesterday had a quarter page write up on the race and a big pic of Andy's BMW.

Beaten by a speedway rider, gutting!
Priaulx deserves more recognition for his achievements!
