BP is one of the few reasons NBC was even close to watchable, and to watch him fight all last year gave me a good feeling. To hear now he is back in poor health tears me up. God help BP, not many people in the racing world have more friends....

I was afraid this was going to happen ...
there had been no update for several days ...
I didn't want to post what I expected to happen ...

It truly is a sad day in NASCAR as we have lost a friend. :bigcry:

As I said on the NASCAR side, BP was the one thing that made NBC's broadcasts worth watching. I was a fan of him from his ESPN days and although I am not old enough to remember his racing career live, I know he was no slouch with a championship under his belt.

BP will be missed, a true class guy...God Speed Benny Parsons...

Oh, no, not BP.
I learned so much from him years ago watching "RPM Tonight". He always managed to make sense to me when he explained things.
When he announced the cancer was gone in October, I thought it seemed too good to be true.
My heart goes out to his family, friends and the NASCAR community.
RIP, Benny
We'll miss you
