Ben Collins is a consultant to Top Gear, and has been "The Stig" more than any other driver.

However, he can't be everywhere at the same time, so others have worn the white suit in his place.

The Black Stig was, of course, Perry McCarthy.

I did wonder about the "Fat Stig" in the American special, but the candidate for that moniker isn't that tall. ;)

I REALLY miss seeing Ben Collins in an ASCAR!

I don't miss him, he drove rockingham like it was a road course and didn't put on a good show at all, how often did he race two wide?
I actually had a lengthy discussion with someone a couple of weeks ago about who the stig is/was. I was told that it definately isn't Ben Collins nor has it ever been and that the first two Stigs are now dead :rolleyes:
Anyone like to tell me whan Perry passed away cos I missed it and as for the 2nd deceased driver, anyone know who it was?

Having marshalled at the Britcar 24 hour (complete with Top Gear team) I came face to face (not helmet) with The Stig (well one of them as there where 3). I could tell you who he is .......but them i'd have to shoot you! :arrowed:

The Stig appeared in the MPH live show in London & Birmingham over the past couple of weeks. The programme bills Ben Collins as "Lead Driver". I lead you to draw your own conclusions. :vader:

I think they're referring to the episodes in which Top Gear 'killed' The Stig.

The black Stig was launched off of an aircraft carrier in a Jag and drowned, shortly after the tabloids identified McCarthy as the guilty party. I can't remember the details, but I'm sure the white Stig has also been killed off at least once. The current encumbent is supposedly a twin brother or something.
