If you mean to add up the total number of starters, it must be over 500.
If you mean different drivers, I'll guess 67. We're an elite bunch, you know.

As one of the Officals that set the questions, I can tell you that Duanes table actually won the quiz on the night.

The Team Networking/Torquespeed table came a very close second ... thanks, as Duane said to a certain Mr Mickel.

So from that you may deduct that long term knowledge of the series was a bonus on the night .... strange how Colin's CWS table did not fare very well then!!!

Duane
3rd November 2007, 22:18
yes Q7 is one i questioned on the night but could not think who was placed in, in place of Lince when he could not race after hid incident in Germany with n o sun glasses.
so Peter Falding seems to be the 6th silent member of RML.

not many takers so far and we still do not have a full house

Witty, you have 1 wrong and tie-breaker wrong but would you have beaten Mandy on the night ???? (no research or thinking time)

Jooles, Zero dont count, you have part of a question wrong, name the BTCC drivers and no body has the body panels right yet, tie breaker is wrong as well.

me ol mate Melon......still 1 wrong and tie breaker wrong

and as for Q3 why was the triple digit allowed ??? the three question master,s might not even know that ???

I can definately think of more than 5 wheels on an SCSA car and I know there's more panels than that, pickups have 17 I believe so think along those lines. ;)

Oh, and can people start pm'ing Duane as Jules requested, otherwise I'm going to have to enter the competition and win purely using everyone else answers combined.

Duane
10th November 2007, 21:31
sorry no pm's to be answerd until nov 22nd.......Nascar Beckons
but i will give you these answers that everyone is getting right

1 Lee Caroline
2. 1
3. 111, Arron Slight because the Kiwi used the same number in World superbikes that same year
4. Mark claussner
5. Mike Schmidt
6. Proctor "The Doctor"
7. Peter Falding is not one of the 5 ??????
8.Not Proccy, name the only 3 who have Driven in a competitive race
9. Tony & Moya
10. 80
11. Yes 5 wheels
12. I have re-assembled more cars than i need to recall and i nearly got this wrong, Spanner and Kev just rememberd the last panel, so you need now to name how many and which panel is the one that gets forgoten ???

nobody has hit the magic figure for the tie breaker even though Witty seems to think she knows better than James Wright, ha,ha.

so only final answers now needed for questions 7, 8 & 12 as well as the tie breaker.

The answers are now on the V8 Trophy web site

There is a question mark over the RML question with it would seem Peter Falding driving one meeting and making it 6 drivers they had.

On the night we had some 30 seconds to answer each question as they was read out, our table won on the night with 17 to John Mickels 15......but Tractor marked our paper as he was on another table and filled in two we left blank....Sorry John.....so that would of left us with the tie-breaker question, which would of been quality on the night.

The tie-breaker question was how many drivers have driven an ascar
John Said 55 and we said 56, and thats honest

as for the answers sent in.....Ascar Dave was first with all the right answers.

nobody got the Tie breaker right

all in fun

I know it's just fun but the tie breaker answer is NOT 86 3 of the drivers on the list did not start an ASCAR race

Firstly Mark Preston tested and qualified for the first Demo race but did not actually get the #22 Streber Motorsport car on the grid for the race.

Secondly Rick Tanton owned the original #99 car, he tested the car a number of times during 2000 and took the rookie training prior to the Demo race. The car was to have been raced by a certain Barry Lee but was took out by Mike Jordan who had tested the first ASCAR. It was later raced in 2001 by Neil Cunningham and Anthony Swann (Jelly Babies)

Thirdly Max Hug was another to take part in the extensive training with the Petty Driving School prior to the 2001 Demo race but again he never took the green flag to start a race

For those who don't know Peter Malmstrom raced under the name of Peter Storm for Deuce Racing.

So the correct answer for the tie break question is 83
