Upcoming Swedish rally driver Victor Henriksson is to contest this year's Wales Rally GB with support from Pole Position Indoor Karting (PPIK) Leeds together with Allfab EMS.

Henriksson has been entered in the Fiesta SportingTrophy International championship. The Fiesta ST is being provided and run by Allfab. Henriksson will be paired with co-driver Mark Walker, and the new team will have their first outing together at this coming weekend's Malton Stages, in preparation for Rally GB.

Henriksson has been competing in a Fiesta ST in his home country this year, achieving third in class on the Swedish Championship.

“Victor has strengthened his credibility in Sweden this year as a prospect for the future. We are delighted to help him to demonstrate his talents once more in front of a British audience,” commented PPIK Brand Marketing Manager, Ben Hyland. “His impressive showing on Swansea Bay Rally in July has given us the confidence to support a return visit the Welsh forests to contest Rally GB”

“PPIK continues to support young, upcoming motorsport talent across various disciplines, and we are looking forward to seeing how Victor performs against regular Fiesta ST contenders both from the UK and internationally.”

Henriksson was winner of the 2006 Ford Fiesta International Shootout competition and has been working a year long sabbatical with the BP-Ford World Rally Team. World Champions in 2006 and vying for the 2007 WRC championship, the M-Sport team has been providing the best possible foundation to Victor's career. To secure this unrivalled opportunity, Victor had to beat off competition from a host of hopeful aspiring young rally talent from across Europe. He will be on duty for the BP-Ford Team in Ireland, to provide weather information in support of the team’s last push to retain the Manufacturers’ title and secure the Drivers’ title for principal driver Marcus Gronholm.
