View Full Version : Good looking cars

What do you consider to be the most beautiful cars on sale today?

Perhaps it's just me but it seems that a lot of people fall in love with the performance figures of a car. Oooh that's the fastest car in the world it must be beautiful :| Or that's got spoilers and looks fast so it must be beautiful! Post what you feel are beautiful cars but don't post anything with silly wings (Unless it's a DBR9 then in that case it's OK) or make mention of the fact that it does 0-60 in 3.5453646453 seconds because that's irrelevant when it comes to car p0rn. Remember you must be able to walk into a showroom now and buy it now. *prepares for torrent of ugly supercars and JapCrap*

For me it's these two (I'll let someone else post the DB9)

I prefer the AMV8 over the DB9

Good start  I don't find the XK that attractive but I can see the attraction for other people.

I also think the AMV8 just looks a bit short for my liking but when it looks that lovely you can let small defects slide ;)

Not a fan of the Jaguar, but the Aston, Yeeesss!!! Much prefer it to the DB9, though I wouldn't turn it down if I was given it....

Alfa 8C or the forthcoming Aston DBS

Mein Porsche.

Astons really sing to me as well. Ferrari, Lotus and Audi R8.

Like the idea of the Alfas, but that is just the thing, the idea. And if we are going to have a thread about beautiful (new) cars, then any considerations about practicality, reliability etc go out of the window. The idea of the Alfa is great, but in practice, I wouldn't have one because of all the other downsides. Front wheel drive in a sportscar is just wrong, stoopid driving positions (well the old one I nearly bought about 8 years ago had) mechanical carnage etc etc.

Love the look of the R8 Audi.

The BMW 1 series coupe is massively more attractive than the hunchbacked hatchback, but still not a great looker.

And I still like the new Boxster ;)

Kneeslider. It's all about looks. Practicality doesn't come into it and neither does handling :p Just looks.

Forgot to mention the R8 is definitely not beautiful :mark: Looks ok in silver but in any other car that ridiculous non body colour panel aft of the door makes it look silly. I also don't go for the vents and loopy swoopy bits on it either :p I saw a trailer with 3 R8's on it and 4 RS4's and was almost sick :p I have a photo which I'll post but the R8 looks silly in any non silver colour.

Not a fan of saloons.

For sports, other than the DB9

Brera. Brera, Brera, Brera, Brera, Brera (allowing for it in red, black, white, blue, green and pink stripes and a sort of lurid orange/brown colour) It's just a goddamn sexy car :D

Best sports car......

I sorely hope that Toyota has the balls to make this one. :)

The DB9 is gorgeous, but I'll let somebody without an imagination post it.

I also like this thing, too......

The Punto will come up trumps. The front end resembles the DB9, especially the headlights and fog light/vents, whereas the Bravo resembles more like the sister Maserati. Unlike others it seems like Fiat wants to stand out from the crowd by not sticking corporate face' across their segments.

Lets not go too overboard here ;)

As with nearly all Merc's that C class will look horribly dated in 5-10 years time.

Is that front engined with Air scoops to the rear?? Strange.. looks like a cheap knock-up for a motorshow and just not my idea of attractive.

Yep.. The DB9 is stunning.

Would anyone think I am stupid for suggesting the new Ferrari FXX Evoluzione?

OK the reliability may or may not be suspect but you surely cannot argue aganst the shape.

Not stupid. It's an ugly car though. If it wasn't so fast and powerful people would never mention it.

I see from my E-mail that you changed your post to the FXX from the Bugatti Veyron.. The Bug?.. now that has to be one of the ugliest supercars ever imo..

I did say in my first post that we'd see people merely suggesting supercars because they're fast :mark: Fast isn't beatiful.

Exactly. I think that supercar design is becoming ever less elegant. You only have to look at recent Ferraris to see that.

This is why we have different cars produced for different markets, it doesn't look too great to me. Driving it might be a different matter...

Yup. It kinda reminds me of women.

I like a good chest as much as the average man but the women at work with fake ones. Doesn't do anything for me at all because they just look OTT. Todays supercars are the sort of thing a 6 year old would buy if he suddenly became a millionaire. 6 year olds don't have taste and neither do a lot of people who own supercars these days :p

C30 is actually quite nice Jon.

That Corvette is however not :p

I remember Hammond's comment about the Corvette on Top Gear. "[Corvette] is America's Porsche 911. But here in Europe, we already have a Porsche 911. It's called the Porsche 911."
