The V8 circus is on the move......straight from Bathurst ...onto the "old dart" to race around the famous Donington circuit.... here's your chance you european boys to shine!! Can Sloma continue his success? Will Hollydog go one better & win his first V8 Rd?? Will Homer make a come back in his home country?? Can Vuko Snr reassert his dominance?? Can BobZee cement 2nd position??...all will be revealed.....

Rd 12 DONINGTON - QUALIFYING DETAILS:
*Free Settings for ALL drivers this time in qualifying - tyres, engine, gears & suspension.
*Qualifying MUST be done in TIME TRIAL Mode.
*No CHEATS or BOOSTS allowed.
*Qualifying ENDS Tuesday night 8pm Aussie time. Race details will be revealed after qualifying results.
*Qualifying times MUST be POSTED on CODIES & Forum thread.

We didn't race here last year. We only introduced the International tracks this series.
Vuko Snr was the first to hit the track at Donington this afternoon. A lot of changes needed to the car from Bathurst - gearing has to be changed big time.....the best time from a short session an unofficial 1m.09.59s.
The fastest non cheat time on codies appears to be in the 08's...so that is something to aim for....I'm sure we will get faster by Tuesday evening.

On default settings, I'm already down in to the low 1m14s but a lot of adjustments have to be made especially the gearing ratios.

Love the flow of Donington and hope to cement my 5th place in the championship although the Polish Piledriver (mr Sloma) is gaining fast although there are only 2 rounds left - here and Philip Island.

Vuko Snr was able to get another short session in before nightfall at Donington clocking an official 1m.08.68s.......the fastest non-turbo/cheat time on codies..."there is still more in the car...I'm still getting to know the track," said the Australian.....more drivers are expected to arrive tomorrow..

tannat - I have a confidence lift through coppice on a default set-up, but on soft tyres I reckon I'll be flat ;)

my last few sessions at Donington have been in formula cars. what a beast the V8 is!

and to top it I'm still recovering from the trip to jamaica

in the formula cars you hardly ever lift, you just have to have finesse through the corners.

I got down to the 1:12's with no trouble, but to go lower I had to learn how to get the car to turn in better - a change of the brake bia helped that.

so I got down to a 1:10.50. If I could've put my best sector time together I couldn't gotten in the 1:09s, but that's it

I reckon that a 1:08.5 is the best I could achieve. I love Donington, although I think the Melbourne loop at the end spoils the flow.

race 2 should be particulary intersting. I'll have a hard time catching tanat and my arch-rival real ill, that's for sure.

gosh, hope I don't accidently tap anyone's rear bumper as they crest the hill at McLeans or Coppice.

I have a feeling that would have quite an unnerving effect on the tappie's vehicle, while the tapper would go on to fame and glory.

the back runners are the front runners, except the front runners in race 3 which are the middle runners in race 1, however the back runners are also the front runners, which makes the front runners also the back runners, so in race 1 the fronts are at the back, the middles are in the front and the backs are probably somewhere inbetween, for race 3 its completely different as well as this time the probably somewhere inbetween is in the front, the middle is at the back and the front is further behind so in theory at the front but a lap down.
