Thanks!

I really enjoyed predicting this season and 21st (+3) is a great achievement for me. Can't think of much else. So pretty much perfect.

Congrats Mihai and of course nicemms for being runnerup

37th for me, but got my best result, 2nd, in the final race!

37th for me, but got my best result, 2nd, in the final race!

My best was my win in race 2 at the first Thruxton meet. Though after that I seemed to dip. Dark orange places get less and less.

But you did well too.

If you had done Donny no doubt you would have been placed even higher.

I noticed you equalled your best points (250) in the final race of Snetterton too.

Congratulations to everyone who took part this year :D

And thanks to MattL for scoring the results (who is also our outgoing champion!)

20th overall, not too bad for my first attempt.

Gradually crept up the order from a very bad start!

Heres to next year. Thanks all for organising and scoring it.

Well done Mihai! Nearly thought I could have taken 1st from you!

Nevertheless 2nd was my highest finish and thats good to say I have only done pickems for two years!

Thank you everyone!

It's been an entretaining year, although I spent quite some time studying past results and track features to see which car is better suited for which track. I may be the only participant in the BTCC pickems not to watch any of this year's races (damn you Motors TV for that!) but it went well after all. :p

I actually rooted for you to take 3rd away from themo (I shouldn't be saying this) to rob him of some points in the overall pickems standings. ;)

Congrats to all who joined the '07 BTCC pickems game!

Congratulations, Mihai. As you say, it does take some degree of skill, in all probability. I shouldn't have placed so much reliance on Mike Jordan...

Well, I did my picks as a compromise for all 3 races and Mike Jordan is for me the kind of driver that gets a good finish at least once per race weekend.

That was my basis for guys like Mat Allison, Mat Jackson and Tom Onslow Cole. I never thought for a moment they would be in the top 4 consistently. But I did expect them to be somewhere in the low top 8 places.

In some cases they did, in some cases they didn't. But in some cases though one or two actually exeeded my expectation. For instance Mike Jordan was 4th and 3rd in races 2 and 3 in the first Thruxton meeting. And at Rockingham Mat Jackson was 4th and 2nd in races 2 and 3.

Point is, as much as it makes predicting hard it is I think a testament to how unpredictable the BTCC is because teams like Team Eurotech and Motorbase Performance and Jackson Motorsport can get out such competitive cars.
