This rally is the last round of the 2007 french 206 Cup... ;)

Note that young Finns Antero Saari and Janne Perälä are back in the cup(probably with a car prepared by Pavérani in Corsica) :D

So there is another entry list for the 206 Cup? I cannot see the 206 drivers on the list posted by Harris... How many entry lists are there?

They will be 25 on the rally ;)

But as the top 20 driver finishers get points and money given by Peugeot-Sport and knowing on such difficult roads there are often many retirements(accidents, off roads, mechanical,...) it looks every driver who will finish will be point scorers !!! ;)

For example at the Rallye du Touquet this year they were 24 entries in the 206 Cup, only 13 finished the event(so all getting points) and the cup set a record there: the best female driver result ever in a one-make's cup with young Charlotte Berton(codriven by Marie-Noëlle Ratier) ending 9th !!!!

Who knows if she'll do even better in Antibes !!! :p :

The 206 Cup entrylist for Antibes can be seen here ;)

No time at all for Corrado Fontana !! Retirement ?? :s

EDIT: Fontana has his time(7th fastest on SS1)but it wasn't in his starting order

Judging from this timetable:
http://www.patricksoft.fr/Antibes/Itineraire_Simplifie_2007.Pdf
Antibes Rally has as many as 3 legs! Does that mean that the winner can score 10 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 19 points for the champiosnhip?

According to: 2007 FIA European Rally Championship Regulations

3.5.8 Points

b) For each leg, bonus points will be awarded in the Championship for Drivers and Co-drivers based on the results for the leg, at the rate of 3, 2 and 1 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, within each of the above.

Antibes is dividied into 3 legs, so YES :)

Thank you Luca! If you are so good at the regulations, can you tell me if this is true that the necessity to compete in at least 6 ERC rounds was removed from the FIA regulations in the last moment?

Jarek Z
19th October 2007, 20:23
So... 3 points for Travaglia, 2 for Jean-Joseph and 1 for Isik after leg 1... No surprises!

FIA European Rally Championship for Drivers - last document update: 18.10.2006, but following statement is still there:

The driver and co-driver must take part in at least 6 events in order to be classified at th end of the season in the final results of the Championship. All results achieved by the driver and co-driver will be counted.

btw in my opition this year only simon and renato deserve for this championship, i hope no other drivier will win the title

You are right Luca, it's a pity that Travaglia had such unlucky season this year! He should be leading the championship, but so many technical problems and disqualifications...

And Jean-Joseph drives 100% in his little Citroen!

Are there any photos from Antibes somewhere?

EDIT: no Travaglia has his time...but strangely he has it late :mark:
Was he late out of assistance(and would get penalty like Fontana) ??

The last round of the french 206 Cup was won by local driver Xavier Quinsac ahead of Denis Millet and Frank Véricel, after 2007 Cup winner and rally leader Sébastien Ogier retired on the ultimate stage(SS12 - mechanical problem) :(

Swiss driver Rodolfo Esposito signed his best result ever in the Cup, with 4th place and spanish driver David Nafria took 7th final position ;)
