Why was there no WRC 6?
Will there be another official WRC game?

Not until the rights are snapped up. Which is a real shame because now we can't have WRC on the console. PC you can mod cars...

Who is going to snap the rights up though? There aren't enough manufacturers in it to make a game. Unless they include all the classic cars of the past.

They could have all the M2 teams and all the other non- M2 drives like Kopecky, Galli.

Absolutely!
Here some of my ideas :D
DiRT/GT5 style graphics. 6 stages per event, be able to make a privateer entry with your own livery, select the time of day and weather yourself
So I could go do Rally Monte Carlo at 10 o clock at night in the snow :D

I'd go further, design six stages for each event, but they can be reversed. Then you can design your own Rally, also like in Forza Motorsport2 design/download liveries. The more options a game has the better and longer lasting.

So 12 stages with 6 normal and the same 6 reversed?
I still like my weather idea. You could even do snow on Rally greece LOL

there should be a cut-scene before a race which shows the cars on liaison and warming their tyres and stuff from the point of view of a spectator that would be cool :D and more realistic bangbang sound!!

Driving part of the road section could be included, like having to obey the road laws, or you get penalised, then it would'nt just rally driving in the game.

And at the end of the stage show the highlights of that stage, including any offs by other drivers!!

It seems we're going into a fantasy land!
A game with road sections, any weather, reversible tracks and official cars and drivers sounds amazing - but it's not gonna happen....

That's the saddest thing.. we won't be getting anything like this for consoles and High-def gamers.
For me a WRC4 game with up to date cars and drivers would be just perfect.

The basics satisfy me;
- 8-10 different stages per rally
- Even 8-10 rallies only would be alright (provided it included the classics, and range of dirt, tarmc, snow & the mixed conditions
- A mixture of the WRC, S1600 & PWRC/S2000 cars

Because the WRC series was crap and there's no need to go on trying to polish a turd.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Must admit quite enjoyed the first game and WRC4, the rest weren't much good though. As for a new game, it would be extremely limited though, only 3 works teams??
Should bring out a WRC Classics with the classic Rallies, Cars etc. Imagine Col De Turini in the dark, Pundershaw all 35 miles of it, long sections of the Safari,..
...I'll keep on dreaming!!!

WRC4 and WRC3 were the only decent ones IMO.

It's the physics that are crap. Who cares about liveries and official teams IMHO. I want a game that's fun to play and gives a sensation of speed. WRC has NEVER ever had decent physics and that's why it will forever suck. People on this forum seem to have an obsession with long stages and lots of them. What good is a good stage with a crap car on it?

Didn't like WRC3 but I did like WRC4, however my favourite Rally game is still Colin McRae 1, great stages, night stages, etc.

Yeah for sure, the first two CMR games were the best ever. :D

I hate WRC4, the cars just don't slide and the S1600s are ****! Evolved was better car wise, but i'd rather play the original WRC game :D

The only bad thing about WRC4 was the S1600, took about 3 days to get to 60mph :P

WRC4 is the best of all WRC, but I love the stages in WRC3 eventhough the handling is crap. As for Colin Mcrae1 is the game I've played the most ;)

hehe, yeah WRC6 aint coming but theres a World Rally Championship game with 07 cars at the mobile phone :S . Its quite weird but thats how it is.
WRC series was good but still missed something to every of its game. It level wasnt quite high for pro players and the game was played out quite quickly. Only way to go was to sign out for great offline comps or sign in to online in last versions and the comps were the best part of the game.
I just cannot wait to see if WRC returns to consoles. Offcourse I hope it to be more realistic but so far in next.gen consoles Ive been highly disappointed for rallying games that has came out and even miss the WRC series. Atleast every year it was playable!
