What is your faviroute WRC car?

My favorite WRC car is the Subaru Impreza 2001/2002 because of the round front lights and the 98 Impreza because of the strange noise it sometimes makes.

2001/02 Bugzilla? Ugliest rally car ever devised (besides MG 64R Metro though that has something of a patina after the years).

I like my cars square and women round, hence my fav rally cars (aesthetically) are likes of Audi quattro A1/A2, Mitsu Evo 5/6 and Skoda Octavia WRC.

I'm more a fan of the old WRCars, like the '97 or '98 Impreza, Escort, Cordoba and Octavia. The Fabia is one of my most recent favorites.

Thought it was about "World Rally Cars", but apparently as a whole. Then I would go for the Lancia Rally 037, especially on tarmac specs. Though, my personal favorite will always be the Delta HF Integrale (evo).

The first Subaru WRC 1997-2000 is one beatuiful car! Slick, wide and low, symetric angels and much neater than present outgrown freak cars.

The Peugeot 306 Maxi come second (Like a puma..ggrrr!) and the 2000-2002 Focus WRC third (elegant)!

Visually the 2000 Coupe version of the Impreza.

Notable mentions go the the Fabia in Red Bull livery, the Tommi Makinen Edition Lancer (Evo 6.5) and the Pugoet T16 Pikes Peak Hillclimb edition.

Can`t say which is simply best looking rally car but Escort RS1700T is high on that listing. Also Quattro S1 from group B era is nice.

BMW M3, Escort Maxikit, Escort WRC, Focus WRC`99, Accent WRC Ilike all those very much. Oh, and one more.. Lada VFTS!

IMO the 1995 Impreza is a lot better looking than the wider Imprezas that appeared later on (including 2000). Looks less chunkier and had a much better shade of blue.
'85 Rx-7 is also a great looking car
70's Skodas look quite quirky
Fabias are the best looking in recent years.

_Ford Focus WRC 03 of Märtin and the 04 version of both Markko and Duval.
_Peugeot 206 WRC 03 (with the Marlboro sponsorship theme).
_SWRT Impreza WRC 03 and 05.
_Ford Focus WRC 06 with the Munchi's theme (of course).
_The Peugeot Norway 307 from Henning really suited it orange.

The Fabia looks very nice too and I really like the sound of it, sadly it didnt have any great years in the WRC :(

All other WRC cars look great too, Accent, Cordoba, Xsara and so on.

One car that didnt look very good was the 307 and maybe the new C4, but I guess they will look nice in the future when I miss them too.

I know i'm missing the point a little and its not a WRC car, but Andy Burton's 306 Cosworth is THE GREATEST rally car ever. If you don't know what it is, make a once in a life time trip to GB to see it before it is banned.

Honestly, if i lived abroad i would pay more to see it than Rally GB. Its insane. He's doing;

Why will it be banned?

Due to a proposed rule K.37 I think, the MSA only want production based cars in Rallying, as they are 'supposedly safer'. In their misguided way, 'one off specials' aren't as safe as prodution based cars.

Just the thought of naming a Toyota as your favourite car should be rather unbelievable (!), but I must rate the Toyota Corolla as my alltime favourite WRC car. I have had the pleasure of codriving quite a few Group A and WRC cars, and the Corolla has given me by far the most outstanding experiences.

It`s built like a tank and goes like hell - and it is "louder" than any other rally car I have sat in. For me it has been the ultimate brutal and aggressive rally experience.

After the Corolla I have sat in a couple of more modern WRC cars, and the funny thing is that the manufacturers nowadays build in more sivilized and "comfortable" qualities in their WRC cars. They definetely doesn`t appear so noisy and aggressive as the Corolla, and still if you are going as quick or maybe even quicker they doesn`t give you the same experience of going flat out as in a Corolla.
