Just done my races. :)

Definately improved throughout all the races. Actually manged to be further ahead of the compettion in the 5 lap race than the 7 lap race. :D Any one do a sub 56 second lap or even a sub 55

Yes! back to an Aussie track! This is the Eastern Ck version I raced on recently in a V8 Supercar. Hopefully I can grab some points back off J.B. this Rd.

I'm moving to a new apartment this week, so I'm hoping to have time to do this.

If not, sorry, I'll be back for the next one. :D

Completed the 3 races at Eastern Ck. The car was fast, got a good set up & was able to post very consistent times. Hoping for a podium spot but this is developing into a tough series. Would love to get back at J.B for Rd 1.

Having some difficulty on this tack, is this the one P.Vuko drove a few weeks ago?

same here, the esses kill me, that short section they use instead of the long track, there are no curbs to go off of and that's killing me, I'm trying so hard to get through cleanly but also without losing much speed.

so far no, I was close in running a sub 57, but without upgrades I don't think its possible, unless your P.V. Bob Zee, or JBJ

i was running in the 55's range most of the time...

I've done the pactice and qualifying for the first race and I have been lapping on very low 55sec. I bet Vuko has managed to get in the 54's.

or me :D I've done consistant times around 56 secs.

Then I'm very poor at this track, which is no surprise, maybe its going through the esses that I'm losing the most time because I'm running flat out every where else, except for the hairpin

I found my times were a little quicker when I feathered the throttle a bit right before that last turn leading to the start/finish straight. I could do it flat out but I had a better exit speed if I set up for the turn better.

and curb hopping seemed to be really important getting through the esses. I could reall straighten those esses out a lot by hopping curbs, and they didn't throw the shortcutting the track warning flag hardly at all.

I was still only in the 57s though. and I thought that was GREAT.

It seems like I stand a good chance of a podium then :) . Would certainly make up for the poor result at Brands.

4th January 2007, 18:18
after tweaking around with my set-up

I was finally able to crake the sub 57's into the low to mid 56's in race 1. still nowhere near the speed. but 4 laps was not enough to get the tyres up to green. I found I lost some speed through the hairpin and I picked that up to almost 5 MPH. but the short cut on the track is just a hit or miss.

but during the race, the car just has a much different feel and is much better in race than practice or qualifying

johnny shell
4th January 2007, 18:35
are your tires too hard? for the 4 lap race I think I had my tires at like .05 or something

harvick#1
4th January 2007, 18:42
my times were alot better during race than Qualifying and practice. praying for a podium, but top 5 would be more realistic.

times submitted!

good 3 races. only got my times down to low 57s. that's just as fast as I could go. but the good thing for me is I ran good consistant times generally.

only real problem was in race 3. I was running 100% soft tires in qualifying, but on each of my first two laps guess what happened: I got flags for shortcutting the circuit through the esses.

so by the time I got a clean lap my tires were shot. I had to start like 3rd or 5th or something. so I lost a few seconds moving up the field.

looking forward to the next round at Oulton Park. haven't raced there in quite a while.

Sorry I couldn't be part of it...I've had no opportunity to play this week since we've moved into a new apartment, and my almost-two-year-old has been sick since christmas.

Hoping to get times in for FPA but we'll see.

Not quitting, I swear, just a lot going on right now. :D

well done Real-illusions, is that your 1st ever win?

I'm pleased with that :) It was probably the closest racing I've ever been in, and I'm pleased to extend my lead over Vuko.

I'm a bit skeptical of Harvick#1s fastest lap in Race 3.

I'm instead going to award it to Real Illusions.

Is there points available for pole and fastst lap? :dozey: Vuko's 3 poles must really have made a difference as I got better results in the races.

Looking forward to getting back to by local track now :)

well I, for one, think that we should include jso in the offial results.

I would much prefer to finish second-to-last to finishing last! you'ld be doing both of us a favor by including him :)

I have no idea how I managed to suck up so bad. oh well!
