What is CMR2 British Rally Championship?

This Colin McRae Rally 2 championship is just like the CMR2 WC hosted by jso1985, the only difference is that it follows the the calendar of the British Rally Championship, the races are shorter, and the point scale is closer, so that you will still hold a chance of a podium finish should you miss a rally or two.

Calendar:

This championship will follow the calendar of the "real" BRC, with 2 exeptions as the Ulster International, and the International Rally Yorkshire was in the same weekend as rounds of the WRC.

25th - 27th May – Jim Clark International Rally
Ingame rally: France Expert level

19th - 20th / 21st July – Isle of Man International Rally
Ingame rally: Italy Expert level

25th Aug - 26th Sept – Ulster International Rally
Ingame rally: France (M) Expert level

22nd Sept – International Rally Yorkshire
Ingame rally: Finland Expert level

30th Nov - 2nd Dec – Wales Rally GB **
Ingame rally: UK Expert level

** The Wales Rally GB round of the CMR2WC managed by jso1985, will also count as points for this championship, so that you don't have to drive that round twice (Thanks jso!).

You will only be eligeble for scoring BRC points in the Wales Rally GB, if you have competed in any of the previous rounds of the CMR2 BRC of 2007.

Rules:

A short outline of the rules:

* All nationalities can enter!

* Only WRC cars can be used (no Group B).

* You can change car as often as you like during the championship.

* Both Playstation and Pc players can enter

* Guidelines and results for each race will be posted on this forum.

* At least 3 competitors must enter and finish each rally, in order for that round to count in the points.

* Apart from these, the rules are the same as for the CMR2WC

Exhausted finished IRY

New meteo crew wanted!! The prediction said overcast, but no rain! I should have know better than to trust that at a round of the BRC! Which means that I ended up on the wrong tyres on 4 stages.

All in all a good steady performance, but I doubt that it will lead to podium finish!

WILL COMPLETES YORKSHIRE RALLY - wrc3f.tk latest news

New Subaru World Rally Team signing Will L has successfully completed the fourth round of the British Rally Championship, the International Rally Yorkshire.

The new driver who showed signs of speed in Ulster left Ford privateer team and joined the works Subaru team for the Yorkshire rally, and rumour has it he will be in the Wales Rally GB with them too.

Will released a press statement earlier today:

"Yorkshire has been a very enjoyable event, some stages harder than others. The stages were mostly very flat out. I don't think we made too many mistakes but maybe we lost around 5-10 seconds throughout the whole event. I knocked the car about a bit but still a very fun rally.

Stage 1 was a fun stage, good to open up with and easy. Stage 2 and 3 I was on the limiter all stage, very flat out there. Stage 4 got a little trickier, and in Stage 5 , I made a couple of errors, I hit a couple of trees, though not hard and drove away losing about a second in total. I tried out a new setup for the next stages, with a longer gearing and softer suspension for the forthcoming jumps. In Stage 6 I made a stupid mistake and hit the start line poles, shouldn't have happened really I just wasn't concentrating. Some huge jumps in that stage.

Stage 7 was difficult, I made 2 more errors, I almost rolled after a jump and we cut a corner too deep which slowed us a little. Stage 8 was a hideous night stage which was extremely.. well different really. I haven't had much experience in the dark. We had a little halfspin into the trees but we drove out quite quickly so maybe we didn't lose too much time. Stage 9 was totally flat out and I enjoyed that stage very much.

The final stage was bad, I made a bad error after a jump going into a 3-left and I hit the sign and I spun.

But all in all, a very good rally."

The result of the rally will be up 26th September

It didn't go too bad, the times were comparable to New Zealand. But what P***** me off is that AFTER the rally, I've found out where I lost so much time. :dozey: I went 3 seconds faster over SS3 then usually. It's not much but multiply that with 2.5 for the longer stages and you get the idea.

Roll on Finland 2008. :D

Just finished the rally. It wasn't that great. I expected to be faster but anyways, a lot of rain, almost all of the stages were wet. Here is what our crew said after some stages:

After SS2: No problems, good start of the rally. Very wet.

After SS4: We had some problems. On the first slow left corner on SS3, we spun, hit a tree with the back of the car. Probably we lost about 5-6 sec. Raining again. SS4 was ok (PB).

After SS6: Heavy rain on the both stages and the car was not completely fixed.

After SS8: No problems, but still not fast enough.

After SS10: Rain. Wrong tyre choice. We are happy to reach the finish line. But we hope to be on the podium.

Co-Driver : He is crazy, I am afraid of him. This was my last event.
