Will they ever return to the WRC in the next few years, not just as private entries, but full works teams?

Concerning Peugeot I imagine them only return in WRC with 207 S2000s in PWRC... :mark:

Will all cars be S2000 in a few years time?

I don't expect Mitsu back in the coming 5 years ;)

Well, if WRC will be build on the base of S2000 and group-N then all, Peugeot, Skoda and Mitsu have cars ready.

or at least Peugeot with 207 and Skoda with new Fabia

Alot is riding on the WRC2012 developments. Will it be pure S2000 or a S2000+ car???? The WRC car of the future is slated as being an enhanced S2000 of some sort through the means of a kit bolted onto an S2000.

Which means that FIAT, Skoda, Peugeot, MG, Honda, Toyota, Ford & others could soon be seen at the sharp end of the field. Thanks to a performance boost kit.

As with alot of things, "WATCH THIS SPACE"

new WRC formula will be just a S2000 with turbo.

Would S2000 cars be faster than N4 (PWRC) cars?

On gravel not, on asphalt probably. There are not much S2000 cars this year in the WRC, but they had all technical problems: Joge in Sweden with 207, Magalhaes in Portugal with 207 and José Pedro Fontes with Punto also in Portugal, Alén in Finland with Punto and the Russian with 207 also in Finland. In Turkey last year, Basso and Isik had also a lot of problems with the Punto. S2000 cars are not reliable enough for the WRC.

In Australia, which is an all gravel rally championship, the Toyota & Ford S2000's have proven to be just as fast as all the other Gp. N competitors. Both cars are capable of top 3 stage times easily.

And NORF this year, Alen proved to be much faster than any of the Group-N.

Yes, but Alén is a future star. The problem for S2000 is the reliability of the cars.

How was it on saturday stages against Ketomaa? I wouldn`t say Alen was much faster.

Still Alen showed that S2000 can be competitive in fast gravel also, which I didn`t expect. This time it was nice to be wrong

The problem for S2000 is the reliability of the cars in the WRC.OK, then look at WRC car of 2006 and 2007 specificiation which you have in your nick ;) IMO we shouldn´t say which car can compete for example in WRC just because of group or class the car belongs to...

I think Alen would be much faster than any other N4 in his Impreza also. :)

I'm glad you mentioned that :)
Anyway, I hope it's true that Gigi Galli will drive San Remo with Gr.N car.
It will be interesting to compare him with the S2000 drivers.

And history proves he can have a quick go with a Group N car ; )
