Richmond's a CoT race.
#21 Bill Elliott is back in 'Top 35', #22 Dave Blaney is out by only 4 points (should have led a lap at Cal during the 1st caution:-(
Rudd's still listed in #88, but I would think that maybe iffy with his shoulder injury.

'Kenny Wallace is back in the #78' Hmmm...I'm guessing the other three drivers ALSO told them the car was POS so they figured might as well put Kenny back in it.

Also intersting is that the #70 and #45 have been slowly caught by the #21 and #22 in owners standings. :)

Not too surprising with #45, 1st Kyle misses 5 races for the TNT broadcast deal, then misses two races with the broken hand.

Marcos Ambrose – #59 Kingsford Charcoal Ford Fusion

“This is the best short track run we’ve had so I’m really pleased,” said Ambrose.

“We were inside the top 10 but just got ‘snookered’ up high, couldn’t get back down on the bottom and some guys filed passed.

“We had no tyres left so there was nothing we could do about the guys who were on new tyres.

“All things considered we had a really good day. Richmond is such a tough track and it always turns on a tough race. Today was no exception but we made a step up, improved the car over the race, learned a lot and overall made a big step forward on our short track program.

“We worked on the car through the race and actually we learned a lot. We’re just getting better and better as a team. I’m just real excited for the future. I think I’m getting better, the team is gelling and we’re learning about these race cars.

“We’ve got some great people in now to help us out. I can’t wait for next year and the next race.

“I want to finish top 10 in the points if we can and I want to finish in contention for that Raybestos Rookie of the Year deal. If we can end the year in the top 10 in the points it would be huge for us. That would be a big win in itself.”

those bloody last cautions stuffed up a good finish for him, he was passing cars left right & centre in the closing 30 laps! would have been good with some in-car action when he was passing them!

Allmendinger had a good run last night too. To tell the truth, he probably should have run a full season in Busch before moving up to cup, but hindsight is indeed 2020.

Alex, Allmendinger should have never left OW according to some people, but that is another story. Personally, I agree, he should be in Busch because Red Bull was NOT ready to compete at this level. His team wasn't ready, and I don't think he could get the seat time by sitting at home every Sunday or Saturday night watching the Cup guys on TV. The fact he is in the race, and he did pretty well is a nice story. I like AJ....hope he makes it.

Yay Dragon :D he did really well finishing 3rd and being top rookie for the 11th time this season. :imu:
Vickers was running ok as well though I would of liked him to of been a little higher up. Allmendinger finishing a place ahead was a pretty solid run for him also.
Kenny Wallace did a solid job for the #88 team finishing 28th.

Shame for Edwards and Junior with their engines going on them and Biff with his transmission giving up on him. :blackeye:

Now for the last 10 races; Who will win the title? Who will be rookie of the year? Who will be in the top 35 in owners points?
Who knows, lets watch and found out.

Like a lot of races, I don't think the coverage gave it justice. There were several periods during the race where you could pick a car just about anywhere in the field and they were fighting to either maintain a position from someone attacking, or attacking someone ahead.

I had several times that I watched the mid pack cars more than the lead cars. There was some good old fashioned hard racing at Richmond.
