Hall of Fame Racing will announce who will drive the #96 car next year. jayski.com reckon JJ Yeley is the most likely choice.

JJ will likely do just fine, HOF racing hasn't been a bad team so far....

This move surprised me a little as I though J.J. was headed to the #88 Robert Yates Ford. I also feel a bit sorry for Tony Raines who has done a solid job in the #96.
I'm sure Yeley will be a good choice for Hall Of Fame Racing though. He seems to have matured a lot this year and has always shown a great deal of speed.
It seems as though Silly Season could finish fairly early this year with the #88, #21, the new RCR team and possibly the #10 the only seats left available in decent teams.

I think there may still be some surprises. When Gibbs moves to Toyota, that opens up +$10mil of Chevy support money, plus it looks like GMAC won't be on DE jr's 25/81? Does that money go to increased support for existing teams, help teams which can still expand, or bring a team over from another manufacturer?

Well.... they think a lot more of his abilities than I do.

Actually I feel Tony Raines has more talent than HOFR was equiped to show.
The weak link is HOFR, Yeley won't be able to make the #96 go any faster. http://www.motorsportforum.com/forums/images/icons/tongue-anim.gif
I would love to see Tony Raines get in that #88 Yates rocket. :D
Tony Raines showed a lot of talent in CTS, a good car would help him show it in NCS. :D

I agree. Raines is under-rated. If HOFR was getting Gibbs backing it didn't really show. I'm also suprised to Staubach and Aikman taking a back-seat by selling controlling interest. They must have had higher expectations in the short term for a single car team.

HoF will also be switching to Toyota next year.
