I don't know Prodrive plans in rallying Astons in France :mark:

It seems the project was abandonned

SS2 is on the way !!! :bounce:

Note SS1 had been cancelled because of stones fell on the road (too dangerous situation for drivers) :mark:

François Delecour did a big stupid mistake this morning !!!

He forgot his and his codriver's helmets and thus following rally rules, was excluded from rally before SS2 starts !!! :s

Overall the three "main" drivers in their whales are already far in front after two long stages(SS2 and 3), Patrick Henry ahead of David Salanon(championship leader)and Jean-Marie Cuoq... ;)

Michelin trophy is lead by Patrick Rouillard running on the four useful wheel-Drivers of his Toyota Celica GT, only 2s ahead of Eric Mauffrey having only 2WD on his 306 Maxi... :p :
Gilles Nantet in his Porsche 996 GT3 is 6th overall and 3rd in the Michelin Trophy, long way ahead the other Porsches of Véricel and Chambon... :)

As expected, regarding the roads being in mountain, the S2000s and R3 cars have difficulties to follow the bigger cars(Tirabassi in the 207 S2000 is 11th overall, and Robert in the Clio R3 is 15th)...

Even the roads being in mountains, I think it's a little bit disappointing the results of S2000 cars.

Tirabassi isn't a bad driver, but I don't consider him a Top driver too, but I have to say that he is good. He is only 11 overall :s
Patrcik Rouillard with the super old Celica GT 4 is on 4th position behind WRC cars... I think 4th should be the position of Tirabassi.
Eric Mauffrey with the old 306 Maxi is 5th overall.
Nantet with a GT is 6th!

I hope teams really start improving the performances of S2000 cars, it's getting a little bit boring to see this kind of cars, personally I prefer to see a TOP traditional GR N car in the right hands, like we had opportunity to see Travaglia in Madeira this year. It was really beautiful to see Travaglia in action, it remembered me the good old times of GR A cars like Escort, Celica, Lancer.

Don't forget there are WRC and big GrA cars on this event, that are well superior to S2000s :mark:

Don't also forget Tirabassi is driving the car for the 2nd time only and didn't compete the rallies for a long time(at least more than 1 year)...

He's actually complaining about wrong tyres choice(too soft)on this event...

But the real fight between all the drivers still competing(the retirements list is already huge :( )will really start in about 30 minutes with a three night stages run... :D

Only 10s between the three whales on overall classification, few seconds too between the four fastest Michelin trophy drivers...lots of things can have happened until last leg stage(SS9)is over :)

You must be happy Tom, this is a kind of Peugeot party... :p

Jean-Marie Cuoq took the overall lead after SS9(first leg) :D :bounce:

But he only has 6s advantage over Patrick Henry with 6 stages to go... ;)

Patrick Rouillard(Toyota Celica GT) increased his lead in the trophée Michelin, having 20s to the 306 Maxi drivers Eric Mauffrey and Ludovic Gal... :)

Best Porsche driver is still Gilles Nantet, 7th overall(4th in the Michelin trophy)

Victory for Cuoq 22 sec ahead of Henry and David Salanon 3rd overall.

Patrick Rouillard won the Michelin trophy, Nantet won the GT Category and 7th overall.

Tirabassi was the fastest S200 but o"only" 9th overall...

If only the Grp N cars sounded like Group A instead of flatulent donkeys....

Another video :p :

The guy in the red 206 wrc is Georges Guebey, a real specialist in spectular slides in the corners who always makes spectators shouting of pleasure :D

But by doing this he always loses lots of time in opposite of drivers running properly(but not spectacular) and is often far behind some smaller cars(he finished 14th overall this year) :mark:
