Seeing as I have the unfair advantage of being able to go home and upload photos while all our other intrepid budding photographers have to wait until they fly/drive back darn sarf, here's some photos I took today. :)

Iain

Is this a new class of BTCC then, Knockhill2007023.jpg

Were the Legends on the bill? Or is this from earlier in the year.

Thanks for Sharing all the Photos.

You can't have been very far from me at all during qualifying, Brooklands. We enjoyed the antics of the mad marshals. Apparantly they ended the day piled on top of eachother on the back of a recovery truck.

I'm a bit behind on this one - it was a long trip for me from Hampshire.
(I promise to be quicker with the Thruxton ones!).

Finally uploaded race 1 photos tonight at

Race 2, 3 and supports to follow tomorrow(ish).

You think that Mat would be a bit more careful with a car that his team had put blood sweat and tears into getting ready for the weekend :p

Those guys are great - weren't they also at Croft this year? Some people take the sport far too seriously so it's good to see them enjoying the weekend and having some fun - and they are a fine bunch of marshals too!

Excellent shots everyone.

Here's my BTCC on track photos (Not quite finished at the time of typing but nearly there!)

We were so lucky with the weather this year - last year I got soaked through.

I was looking through my 2006 photos and thought it was interesting to compare and contrast the weather and the cars between last year and this.
Posted some from 2006 at http://www.flickr.com/photos/mike_ward/sets/72157601886241945/detail/

Top class pics you must have a great camera and a media pass to get the shots you got. Thanks for sharing them.

You just need a good camera at Knockhill. It's that close between the spectator areas and the track. :) Although I don't like the new debris fencing at the Clark cowsheds. Wasted that part of the track for me.

MG2004, where were you standing ro Race 1, because from the photos of the two Mats, you were very close to where i was!!

For race1 and 2 I was just down from the banked seating after the hairpin.

For race3 I was at Clark

I've just got the BTCC Non racing photos done now;

Unfortunately the Support races won't be done for a while now as I'm off to the Silverstone 24 hours.

A Media Pass is on my "wish list"! Knockhill is second to none for good photography - with a couple of convenient holes in the fences too!

That's funny, I have one on my wish list too! Anybody got one going spare?

Knockhill is excellent for photography when it's dry. I haven't been to Snetterton for the last two years, but I thought you could get pretty close there too?

Oh, yes, you can get close in Snetterton:

Clark?

Sorry to disappoint you... But it seems that they re-named most of Knockhill (with the exception of Butchers) And have replaced them with sponsors names!
No more Dufus Dip, McIntyres, Brabhams and Clark Curve.
In are Seat Curves, Scotsman, John R Weir Chicane, Carlube and Real Radio Hairpin!

Iain
10th September 2007, 15:27
Nobody actually calls them that though, apart from the media and the circuit itself. Butchers, Brabhams and Hislops are the only areas of the track that haven't been taken over by a sponsor.

For all 3 races i was at the front just after the hairpin. Must have seen you but didn't know it!

Funny how Butchers hasn't succumbed to the sponsors deal eh? ;)
