. . . for being on the forum on Christmas Eve? For me, I've done the family thing, played Ludo and Hangman with my 8-year-old while my wife and two older children watch Pirates Of The Caribbean, I've drunk even more than the requisite Christmas quantity of alcohol, and am very glad to just try and calm down, as the house is quiet, before going to bed (where I probably won't sleep).

What's your excuse? Are you drunk? Alone? Or just bored?

I'm currently sitting here with 2 PC's on, transfering photographs from my old PC to disk because I have to deliver my old machine to my sister-in-law on Boxing Day.

I'm with you on that. We had the office party yesterday, and a few others before that. My liver also needs a rest. But I won't give it one!!!

That's the strangest form of loneliness; when you're around lots of people. Rather than making you feel part of a crowd, the people around you only accentuate how detached you feel from the entire world.
