I heard that Andy Rouse and Peter Hall were still trying to get things going. Anyone know if thats true?. I thought it was dead long ago. Shame it has never got going, i think it would make for some great racing.

I'm trying to think how many times this thing was mooted. There was the original Peugeot 406-bodied car, then they came back a while later with the Jaguar X-Type-bodied car? I think part of the team behind it has developed a spaceframe V8-powered saloon for Britcar and Belcar. XVR8 or something like that? I remember Kelvin Burt drove a Peugeot 407 version somewhere over the past year or so.

The car you're referring to Iain, AFAIK, was a completely unrelated project which Jeff Carter was/is? involved with. Looked a serious piece of kit available in varying specs right up to 900bhp+ if you had the money and the series to run it in.

They should do a European C'ship. Loved that clip (http://media.putfile.com/SCv8-Jag---Justin-Wilson) of Justin Wilson in the Jag SCV8.

Found it. :) http://www.crash.net/news_View~cid~26~id~135165.htm

Roger Etcell's the man involved in both that and SCV8. Ex of Toca during the Richard West-era.

The SCV8 and XV8R sites are both dead.

Nothing much is happening on the QME site (http://www.qmengineering.co.uk) either.

crying shame its never happened. As much as i like the BTCC it will never compare to a big engine RWD series.

They did have a Carrera Cup team this year, but disappeared after Kelvin Burt vaulted the catch fence at Thruxton in May.

If you were to pair it up with a c'ship or two, what would be the best fit? Biggest thing for them is to get TV. Maybe there's an opening at Motors?
