From the current issue of Autosport, David Pinkney's out, as are the Motorbase Seats, while Eoin Murray and Team Quest won't be going to Knockhill and may not go to Thruxton either. Gavin Smith's deal wasn't confirmed for the Scottish rounds at the time of printing, and - the biggest news - Steve Neal says it's a "slim possibility" that Matt Neal will race, given the short turnaround time required to build a new car.

That's not counting anyone who thinks Knockhill is too far to go for a touring car race (usually one or two, and only Cornwall's John George has any excuse!) - I don't know how many cars that is this year.

You can add to that Richard Marsh (needs an engine), Rick Kerry (budget), Jim Pocklington (hasn't been around the last few rounds, I doubt he'll be at Knockhill) and I read on the forums (but nowhere else) Erkut Kizilirmak isn't going.

At least we gain Alan Taylor in a Robertshaw Racing Honda Integra.

That's all a shame for the Scottish audience's one chance to see the BTCC on 'home turf'. At least the grid still won't look too small, though.

We very rarely get a full grid up here. I know most of those entries are suffering after the Brands accidents, but it does annoy me a bit every year that Knockhill's treated as if it's in China.

Let's be thankful this isn't 2005, we'd have about 6 works cars and that would be it. :p :

Well in 2005 Knockhill had one of the biggest grids all season.

Well, '06 was brill!!!!! So was '05, c2toi

Anyone know detail of TV coverage? Ive had NO motorsport all season, as both my sports have been booted from ITV!

ITV is showing delay full coverage of race 1 and live coverage of race 2 on ITV4, then they'll show highlights of the first two races and live coverage of race 3 on ITV1. Pretty good package.

I don't really think you can count Leason and Blanckley in that list as both had already confirmed their withdrawal from the championship.

Thats leaves about 15 cars then?
If past years are anything to go by we will have 4 cars left fro race 3!
Good to see the Kartworld MG's have survived!
Anyone see the front of this weeks Autosport? Big pics of the crash with costs of damage to each car!

More like 18 cars assuming no more drop out.

It is actually 18, which is surprising because of how many are missing.

Its 26 + 2 (Smith & Taylor) - 10 = 18

What's the latest with Neal - I heard there was only a "slim chance" he would be out.

Motorsport news says theyve been working flat out and A-tech have lent the team mechanics.

I drove up past the circuit today and was going to go in for a nose to see who exactly was there, but didn't want to go in and get in the way of teams setting up. Was passed by BTC Racing on the way back down, I reckon Chris Stockton's got a chance of some good points finishes with this depleted grid.

That's a good point. A fair chunk of the midfield has been removed. With an incident packed race (as there always seems to be around Knockhill) Stockton, Leggate, George and Bell will have their chances to score some nice points.

Let's slightly Change the Question, Who's Confirmed to be at Knockhill

- Matt Neal (Unless ofcourse those Rumors that he might not make it are True)
- Gorden Sheddon
- Fabrizio Giovanardi
- Tom Chilton
- Jason Plato
- Darren Turner
- Colin Turkington
- Tom Onslow Cole
- Mike Jordan
- Mat Jackson
- Adam Jones
- Gavin Smith
- Martyn Bell
- Jason Hughes
- Fiona Leggate
- John George
- Alan Taylor

To be Fair that's still a Pretty healthy looking Grid.

A Chance for the smaller Drivers to get some good Results should the Big Boys hit Trouble.
