I dunno... if my kid was attending a school where one of these is required, I'd think seriously about a transfer to another school and/or neighbourhood :s

I think they should just give all the kids guns. I think kids should have the right to bear arms too :D
Imagine dads wiping a tear from the eye as little johnny goes to his first day of class armed with an M16 with a grenade launcher, sniper sight and some NVG's :D

"Joe Curran, a co-founder of "My Child's Pack", said the majority of school shootings involve handgun calibre bullets, fired from a distance of between one and three metres."
Hmmm. I spot a flaw.
At a distance of between one and three metres I reckon it won't be too hard aiming for the bits that aren't covered by the rucksack....

Exactly my thought too. Maybe they should invent bulletproof balaclavas, t-shirts, trousers, underwear and shoes for the market?

Who was it that said we shouldn't have the right to bear arms, but the right to arm bears? I think kids should have the right to arm bears. I'd like to see a polar bear with weapons designed by a seven-year-old, that would be fun ;)

But Looby, some on this board think Hoodies should be abolished, because criminals might cover their faces while wearing hoodies.....
