I don't agree. We have seen that after pretty long stages, the time difference between top drivers can be counted not in seconds but in tenth of a seconds  Nothing has been decided after this stage.

Hi AFF!! Already changed your mind regarding Araujo being able to fight for the PWRC crown??? :)

Concerning the time difference between top drivers can be counted not in seconds but in tenth of a seconds, you're right AFF!!! We saw that in Sweden, in the longest stage of the rally the difference between Loeb and Bosse was only 0,6 sec!!!

No, it's too early for this point of the season. Now Mikko has as much chances for the title as Marcus (mathematically)

Corny
17th February 2007, 08:12
in the last five years, ford didn't make any team orders (last time was acropolis 2000 I think).. I don't expect it so early in the season

i'm convinced that if hirvonen stays ahead of marcus by the end of the rally, there is no reason for him to be denied the victory

Good morning everyone

Actually on Eurosport its Norway rally !

Hurray! Considering it wasn't on last night at 10:30 when it was supposed to be because of b****y snooker!!!!

BTW, if Malcolm comes up with team orders, can someone go smack him for me please? or at the very least, shove him head-first into a very deep snowbank?

i can`t understand all of you speaking about team orders. there won`t be any! can`t you remember last year? they could have killed hirvonen`s first win by team orders and then they would have managed to win the drivers title, but i think the ford team is kind of noble. i can`t imagine that they will do so.

Marcus wouldn't have become a champion, cause even with team-orders he would have been only 4th in Australia... And he needed to be at least 3rd. There was no need in team orders.

Yes, but i think it has to do with the pace Loeb has...he is always a kind of slow starter on loose surfaces...i think that if the rally goes like that and the Ford kids don't pull a safe lead tommorows last 44 kms stage is going to be nailbitting

Third place is ok I think. No more snow from now on so he minimized the 'damage'.
Gravel and Tarmac, and there he can fight and he is favourite. We have to see in narrow gravel rallies how C4 performs though.

Citroen "It is so white everywhere. There are a lot of snow banks." Co-driver Giraudet "In thirty years I've never seen anything like this stage before. There was so much loose snow."
Petter Solberg
Subaru "I didn't have any traction at all. I couldn't brake or do anything."
Henning Solberg
Ford "I was driving as fast as I could. I will see, Petter (Solberg) is much faster than me."
Andreas Mikkelsen
Ford "The stage was so slippery. It was hard to get any rythm. I was sliding everywhere. It was harder than the first stage."
Juho Hanninen
Mitsubishi "It was so difficult, I was sliding and sliding."

From the comments so far i think the reason Loeb loses so much is that he just doesn't feel its worth the risk to push....

It's clear that the track is getting much faster after every driver. Probably 5-10 sec. That's good for bosse in relation to Loeb and good to hirvonen i relation to Bosse.

Obviously 10 sec improvement by one pass is not enough for early runners as they are 2 min away from pass..

I don't think it's 5 sec every driver ?! There is difference for early drivers, but Loeb Bosse Mikko are one after the other. Can't be that different since a lot of drivers has passed already.

Heh, Petter has not been problems since early ss. Yesterday Loeb took risks and he would really want to win but his road-position is difficult compared to Bosse and especially Hirvonen - the track is faster after every driver.
