Very young Mikkelsen is more then 10 seconds faster than Wilson on SS4.

anybody knows Rally Norway will be translated online video from SS6? like it's be at Sweden?

When was it translated to English? I got it in Swedish but had the commentary from WRC+ radio.

But it was funny listening to it in Swedish. I missed the first LIVE stage :(

How was it?

They are equal in this kind of resources, and what's the problem...?

Just open your eyes and and listen to what Grönholm said! That is what rally would have be, to wait until the finnish to know how fast you are! :dozey:

Ok I respect your point of view but I don't believe that S. Loeb was world champion because of splits. I'm not a particular supporter of Loeb, in this case he only must recognize that snow rallys aren't his specialty..

no I talk about online video like http://results.swedishrally.com/video/livelink.html, but now it's Norway. Because WRC+ will be broadcasting SS6 LIVE. And think you have link at SS6, like that http://results.swedishrally.com/video/livelink.html

The live video was an initiative by the Swedish organisers. The produced the video, broadcasted it, etc. If not the norweigan organisers have taken the same initiative, there wont be one.

Yeh you are correctly also about Loeb. But often you saw in 2006 that Loeb was faster in the last splits on the stages! I just mean that It is more pleasant for us when they dont see the split times. ;)

S. Loeb is very intelligent in playing on the split time. He knows when he can push or not, wait others to make mistakes or leading the rally on the spilts time of others.

I am really sure that, if there were no splits time in WRC cars, for example in last season, Loeb would not over performed as he did. I agree he is one of the best in WRC, but without spilt time....?!. Did you notice how drivers are nervous when the spilt are not working in their cars?

Without splits things would change and I am sure everyone would push on the maximum untill the last day.

Hey I'm back, nice to see Hirvonen still 1st :) and Gigi great 4th place !

Not that I consider POns a great snow driver or anything but hijo de puta was directed to the car, apparently the throttle stuck flat and could not brake.
Ahh sorry I didn't understood well =) but the insult came from the co-driver, how did he know the problem of the car at once ? Anyway, nevermind :)

he TV masn forget the Beep :D or they didn't undrestood english.
English ? SPANISH :D !

Back in 2005, Turkey ... when Gigi had the problem at the start of the SS, he shout "Nooooooo ! Turbo ! Scoppiato !" (means "exploded") and he got a BEEEEP too :) like it was a bad word LOL

First, I wonder why they chose snow rally to come up because wilks has never been especially impressive on snow. Second, his Focus is older and slower model which is bit preventing factor compared to new cars. Third, to my knowledge he is driving first time wrc-car outside of asphalt.

Magnus
16th February 2007, 13:05
I agree with the split issue: but there is not much to do abt it. Besides: Loeb is brilliant, he adapts very quickly to different conditions. Splits or not, Loeb is the mark for every one to compare himself to.

Do you agree that he has been a lucky man for long time now? This played in his adavantage also since 2005. Even today he has been lucky in SS1. And yesterday in shakedown again.

If the lucky was not there, what would have been happened to him? I don't have nothing against him and I agree he is brillant, but we have to agree that many factors played in his adavantage also.

This is the 'real' Mikko. This is the same what he did in 2005. Fast in the Focus in Sardinia and Acropolis.
But I am a little afraid. Loeb is learning faster than both BP- Ford drivers. Gronholm has a problem. He lose a lot of time. I think he is frustrating that he is not fighting for 1st-2nd place, but 1st-2nd-3rd. Loeb and Hirvonen are both faster.

I am most impressed by Latvala time's. Pitty he has problem in service. He can reach a good result. Two long day's left.

Anyways, what a first leg for this new rally.

Mikko doing a damn fine job. Obviously it doesn't please all you guys and hey, it's ok to wish bad things to happen. Mikko has had a good notes, perfect feeling for driving and the result is a bit surprisingly first. It's still two long days but all in all I'm happy he made a small nose tap for those non-believers.

Marcus blaming he hasn't found the rythm yet. Hopefully it'll happen tomorrow because Sebastien is reeeaally close. Seb is amazing. There just doesn't seem to be a surface he wouldn't feel comfortable on  Very fast anywhere.

Despite the timepenalty, JM I saw a huge grin on his face :) Jari-Matti had a fine day today. Couple of scalps and he is in points.

I'm a little disappointed about Hänninen. However, I have to admit I don't have a clue wether he had any problems or not. And I know this is a first rally on snow with WRC: But still I waited something more... I dunno.. sparkling of him. Maybe tomorrow.
