What's the best rally you've attended? Maybe some photos too would be cool?

I remember going to Sweet Lamb in Mid Wales a few years back during the Rally of GB, it was class, they'd set up a spectators zone about halfway through. There were chicanes, hairpins and long straights all in a "bowl" type area created in the woods, it was fantastic. All cars also went through the stage twice, a day and night stage, the nighttime stage was out of this world! I'll try dig out the photos of the day.

The tailbacks were a pain, and weather was shocking, but overall the best rally i've ever attended!

NORF 2007 and Sweden 2006 are tied on this one, maybe NORF due to the warmer weather.

Grrrrrr.

Best rally for me is either Finland 2005 or Rally Australia 2002 which was the last time they ran anything close to a classic selection of stages :(

Deutschland 2001 and 2003 where great experiences. Ardenne Blue (former Boucles de Spa) in 2005 was great in the packed snow, hearing Duez's Porsche 911 in the woods from long distance away. Of course, first Rally experiences where great too, in '96, '97.

Rally Mexico 2007 (only one I've attended)

The gravel event, people and food were just amazing.

Visiting the cities of Leon/Guanajuato was also very exciting.

Rally of the 1000 Lakes in Finland 1976, got to speak with Ari Vatanen when he was out spectating with (if my memory serves me correctly) Peter Ashcroft and possibly Charles Reynolds afer going off and retiring. Pentti came second beaten by Markku Alen. I can still remember quite vividly the smell of the Trabants and Wartburgs as they went past. I still have the T-Shirt and official road book.
