I received a newsletter today displaying the Elvis Presley 30th Anniversary Tribute paint scheme on a diecast car for Dale Jr.
When and where will he be running this paint scheme?

Junior was here in Memphis on Monday unveiling the car at Graceland. (No, I did not go down there.) There was a real nice article in the paper here interviewing Dale and his grandmother, Martha Earnhardt. It seems that Mrs. Earnhardt was a huge Elvis fan, and after the Hendrick announcement, he gave his "Mamaw" a special surprise, an invitation to tour graceland with him later in the summer. Dale said he couldn't come to Memphis and then have his grandmother read about it later, he's never hear the end of it.
His grandmother used to tell him that she "was one of the screamin' girls in the front row." She saw Elvis twice, both times in Charlotte, once on the side, but with a good view and once on the concert floor. According to the article, Junior collects memorabilia, and has a room dedicated to Elvis in his house.

Elvis has "left the building" but his music & his memory lives on. :D
True legends live on through their fans, it's as true in music as it is in motorsports.
We may lose one along the way but their memory never goes away from us. :D
Whether it's the "King of Rock & Roll" or the "Intimidator" we will remember them. :D

I was never much of an Elvis fan but my other half is. I think he'll really like that car.
