Since we don't have a single seater series i'm starting one for the FPA Series

In this thread you can submit your entry.

I can't run both, haven't the finances (time).

man this is gonna be tough. I think Brands Hatch is the only circuit I've run on before. and my budget doesn't allow for a lot of testing time.

but no better way to learn than jumping in the deep end feet first!

ran a few laps at Eastern Creek just to see what we're in for... not a particulary tough car to drive, this circuit is pretty fast - full throttle most of the way and not much breaking at all.

here's a tip for the boost button - shift gears before your boost time runs out and you lose the boost!

was able to run with the AI cars when they were set at 100%

be careful about hitting the curbs or sliding off the track though - I rolled my car a couple times already!

what are some of the other rules going to be? AI on normal? free set ups? testing?

I like the race distances and having two weeks to run them.

I would suggest AI set to 100%, open practice - except none 24 hours before you run the event, restarts on the first lap only (or no restarts?), and free set ups.

and rough driving off - these cars are so fragil that if you go around hitting people your car will pay the price with or without flags!

and corner cutting?

the default gears on these are weird, so i hope there is setup.

what about the boost option? are we allowed to use that?

the AI i found is reasonbly difficult on 100% custom, its hard to keep up let alone run away. At brands at least anyway.

I was challanged by the AI at Eastern Creek with it set at 100% too.

maybe the gearing is why I could barely top 160 MPH at eastern creek!

I think the boost should be allowed. it's an integral part of this series, and will help keep the AI at bay.

I found it hard to keep ahead on eastern creek, changed the gears and the car handled better in the corners aswell as being quicker.

what did you do to the gearing? :D

made it quicker acceleration(1st and 2nd) 3rd and 4th left genrally the same then gave it higher top speed, worked well but was very jumpy.

finally decided to stop playing NCAA Football and put in Toca and ran some flying laps to get used to the Formula Audi. I like the drive of the car. but I'm not expecting any miracles.
