Hi,

At last!!!! Next LMS round will be this week-end in Belgium :D

The waiting was quite long after the Nürburgring round

So this will be the official thread for the Spa Francorchamps 6 hours race

As usual live-results will be available on http://www.ris-timing.be

You can discuss your expectations, wishes,...of this race now :p :

Behind the 908, who do you think/hope will win the "gasoline race" ???

Best choices are probably among Pescarolo, Zytek, Courage, Lola-Charouz,...

What to expect from the Lola-Audi of the Swiss-Spirit after so long absence(they didn't run in Germany, their last race was le Mans 24 Hours)

Who do you think will win LMP2, GT1,...????

In GT1 I'd say an Aston-Martin will win :D

I've just learnt that neither the Swiss Spirit team nor the Racing for Holland team will be present because of budget problems :(

It should be a great race. A GT1-spec Porsche 996 GT2-R will be at the race with Dunlop tires.

Racing for Holland and Dome are rumored to be working on the Japanese Dome S102 for 2008.

As expected the 908s are dominating the field during the three free sessions between yesterday and today ;)

Interesting, the Lola-Judd(Charouz),the Courage, and sometimes the Zytek seem faster than the Pescarolo number 16... :)

But it's only free tests though :mark:

Qualifying is over ;)

Nicolas Minassian was 0.4s faster than Stéphane Sarrazin, and both diesel 908s were more than 4s faster than the rest !!!

The Lola-Judd of Charouz Racing was 3rd, the Zytek LMP1 was 4th the best Pescarolo was 5th ahead the Courages and the Creation-Judd...

without the 908's the overall win would be one fantastic fight between the teams, but the 908's have to run 4 seconds faster a lap.

I think its time for some rules to limit these Diesal powered cars. or lessen the restrictions on the non-diesal cars

what a horrible race at Spa, Peugeot was 4 seconds faster than the quickest non "diesle" car

I prefer watching both FIA GT and ALMS races rather than a parade of cars :D

yep its out of hand, place them in a different class as they were 4 seconds faster than a P1

its time to limit Diesel powered cars

the series would've been up for anyones gain but Peugeot decided to blow the party up and make a a snooze fest for the overall win

If you limit the diesels, you'll end up like the Audis in ALMS. They are so restricted that the are consistently being beaten by lower class LMP2 cars. Why not make an "alternative fuel class" that could include diesel and bio-fuel, etc.?

The Peugeots on the Raidillon were amazing! Really, I didn't know what I saw, they were flying :o

But hey, it was an excellent weekend

the ALMS uses alot of small, tight tracks that favor the P2 cars and Porsche has made such a great car that it can out run the the Audi's

If the AlMS used the same tracks as the LMS, the Audi's would dominate also

This really sucks. As much as I want Peugeot to win, I would prefer if it was a tighter contest. Still looking forward to Silverstone 1000 next month though.

Silverstone in the past years offered the most beautiful races in LMS, I remeber a great race between the Audi R8 Playstation Oreca of McNish/Ortelli and the Creation od Walter/Minassian in a heavy rain :)
