Unfortunately I can't see the races on TV, because I am the whole weekend in Valkenswaard (NL) for the European Rallycross Championship.

nah, the only time the Zongshen bikes will come close to Dovi is when he laps them, and I don't think Debon will be much of a tread either

Hmm Debon is pretty handy.. The last time he had a wildcard im pretty sure he was running ahead of Dovi, if not, very close.. until he binned it.. :laugh:

If Honda have an off weekend ( something they do alot in the lower cylinder classes lately, wait, even in the premier class :D ) then Debon will take further points from Andrea, no doubt.. This will be a good indication as to how he will fare as Aprilia's number one rider in 08, he should be eager to proove his worth this w.e..

anyway. rather than working hard to change the team colours I think I would be better if they worked to improve the bike ;) (I'm sure they did)

Guintoli used a qualifier

Stoner was consistently lapping in the mid 1'58, Hopper was close but not as consistent. It looks like Stoner has this one in the bag. The rest can fight for 2nd place

Brno practice pacesetter Sylvain Guintoli believes his Friday times are indicative of genuine improvement by the Dunlop Tech 3 Yamaha team.

The French rookie beat championship leader Casey Stoner by 0.206 seconds right at the end of the afternoon session, and while Guintoli readily admitted that the team had used qualifying tyres on his best laps, he said that Tech 3 had still made a step forward.

"We used qualifiers, but normally we always use qualifiers and we are between 10th and 15th," he told autosport.com.

"So using qualifiers and being quite a bit in front is brilliant, really.

"We've got more to try tomorrow race tyre-wise, but the qualifiers are working well. That's a good point already because we've often struggled with that.

"We need to just get the race tyre pace better, but race tyre pace was about the same as (Michelin-shod factory Yamaha rider) Colin (Edwards) today, so it's still quite good."

Guintoli believes that his improved fitness after a recent operation on his arms and the experience of testing the Yamaha M1 at Brno after last year's race played a part in his practice performance.

"I feel much, much better in my arms now," he said. "I've had the operation done and I've got a bit of pain in my wrist now, but I think that's because the operation was only three weeks ago. My actual muscles are working much better.

"I always liked this track, and I practised with the M1 last year, so there wasn't so much to learn with the big bikes."

Man, hard call on Ant's current position.. It's a track he knows, so in theory he should be doing better than he was at Laguna.. Go figure.. :confused: Although, riding on the 800 he said its pretty well like learning tracks he knows all over again anyway.. Im sure he'll be higher than 18th come QP (fingers crossed) ..

Sekiguchi had a bad crash during 250cc warm-up. He is breathing and not in danger

As a result MotoGP warm-up just started with 45 min delay and 125cc race will be delayed 15 minutes.

heres another idea. the easier to ride 800s, launch control, traction control and other electronics took away the advantage he had over other riders because of natural talent. combine that with the fact that Michelin is totally lost this season and the Yamaha engine is working at its limit and yet is way behind and that explains whats wrong with Vale

oh yeah Casey is such a bad driver being made to look good by Ducati and its easier to ride 800's

face it if it was tyres and bikes then why we arent seeing all four factory ducati bikes 1,2,3,4? well

as for traction control - every fecking bike has traction control even Rossi's and its FACT everyone had to start on the same playing feild - all had 800's and all had to deal with control tyres.

Ducati are the best bike
Bridestone are making best tire
and
Casey stoner is the better rider

when rossi was winning 10 races in a season was he not on the best bike and best tires?

rossi does not have the best package, i agree, however when one considers valencia '06 and germany (i think) this year, he has made some very bad errors. he no longer operates at 10/10ths as consistently as he used to.

That race was pretty much the definition of boring.. Rather dull and uninspiring.. Stoner's just in freakish form, thats the long and short of it.. The rest of the field just fight for the scraps..

At the start of the year I would of said 'OK Casey might win one or two races but thats the size of it as he learns on his first year at Ducati and 2nd year in MotoGP'

for him to be leading by 60 and more importantly leading Rossi on a merry dance in just his 2nd year of MotoGP is beyond my(and anyone else's im sure) wildest dreams!

Yeah, it was a bit processional at the front, but all credit to Hopper and Suzuki for easily beating the Hondas. The best racing was for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th with Chris riding brilliantly to win that scrap, if there'd been another lap he may have gotten by Dani. Suzuki must be very happy with those performances.

Not the greatest of races, although pretty good.

The 125s were the best, a good scrap for the win there.

Just want to draw attention to Jorge Lorenzo today - another superb victory firstly, but also to his celebration which was muted compared to usual. We were told during (British Eurosport's) commentary that one of the team members lost his teenage son in a road accident during the week, hence Jorge having some small black ribbons on his bike and not doing the normal OTT celebrations. He also didn't wear his normal gold helmet - he rode out of the pits wearing it and then changed to the helmet he wore for the race on the grid, which had been kept secret by a team member. The helmet he raced in was a replica of Jorge's manager Dani Amatrian's old helmet. He probably wore it as a gesture of thanks for his manager's work so far, but also I reckon as a mark of team togetherness at a tough time. A very nice move by Jorge, I thought - he gets a lot of slating here and everywhere for his supposed attitude, but really it's just an act. (speaking as a Dovi fan)

And a second big thumbs up must go to the Czechs, Hungarians and all others who went to the circuit today. The raceday crowd was 142,000 - absolutely stunning. :D

MotoGP was very boring, you could see that some riders were much faster but they couldnt overtake easily.

BTW did Elias overtake West from the outside? that seem like a nice move but they only showed it for a second.

Tires problem again? Rossi might have exceeded Biaggi's complaint on the equipment either the fault of the bike or the tires.

I don't think it was boring - in fact I'm yet to be bored by a MotoGP race. Perhaps some of you don't appreciate just what it is you're seeing.

Me too. Wasnt it nice to see the family men come first and second with their wives and fiances waiting with big kisses. Caseys girl is tres nice but Johns has a slutty look thats very attractive, while Rossis big, stoopid male- friend had to wait in the paddock for him. Har.

Probably the most boring race of the year. No much overtaking, huge gaps between the drivers. Again a dominating Stoner, but I must say that the Suzuki's impressed me. In Laguna Seca Vermeulen with a second place and now Hopkins. West was a bit disappointing, Rossi off course too. If Stoner has no injuries in the rest of the season, he takes the title. It will be a nice battle for second in the championship between Rossi and Pedrosa.
