Yeah, I was using it for cheap (almost free) long duration calls during the day. I was a bit sly, I managed to get BT to put me on incoming calls only while I still had my Virgin broadband so I was paying next to no line rental to BT and set-up-fee-only calls via Skype over Virgin.

But when Virgin screwed their service up by 'doubling' the speed (halving it, in reality) I couldn't VPN my office and maintain decent call quality at the same time so it had to go. Sky came along and the price of their broadband, plus a fiver for free all day landline calls meant a switch was a no-brainer even with the increased line rental to BT. So the Skype phone is now surplus to requirements...

Phew! Bloody Virgin; as NTL their service was fast and reliable for me but when they increased the speed it all went to ****. 20Mb? Yeah, right...
