That effect is really interesting! How did you do it? Photoshop? I'm really interested! Amazed! they look great!

It's kinda like the effect you get with metallic prints, but i havent printed those for over a year now, all the labs in perth decided the chemicals were too dangerous and the lab i worked at that did them shut down :( i really wanna know how you got that!

Much easier in the digital age :) It's called High Dynamic Range Imaging, HDR in short. It's fairly easy to do after a bit of practice. It's basicly done with combining multiple exposures to get all the areas and colors out of the picture. And to do so with moving objects (obviously has to be made from a single picture) means that you have to have a camera that can take raw images. Google for HDR for more, wiki page has good links as well:

Nice effect I guess. But rally photos should be "as is" with perhaps a little sharpening of softening and fiddling around with the colours to get them closer to what they should be.

My pictures are pretty crap this year. My 70-300 lens is too slow to focus :( I'll be back next year with a new lens or I'll just come with my 18-70 :)

I've uploaded a video on youtube (not really photos but there are some photos in the video). The DV casette we used unfortunately was faulty so a lot of the video we got was very bad quailty (video from 2.6 stages was practically not usable) So I threw in some still photos and extras. I hope you like it (I'm a newb at editing videos).

J4mie,your photo of Atko on stage 21 is superb. Then my brother saw it and said we was in the same place as you.We checked our video footage of the stage and if you was wearing a light blue and black striped shirt we was about 50 yards further on.It's a funny old world that you can travel all that way and be 50 yards from some one and not no it.

I stood there and saw the jump too. On the previous page I asked the same but got no response. I found his official home site and read that luckily he was ok, just a bit bruised and bumped, but will drive already in Germany. So that is good news. Was very scary to see how he was lifted out of the car. Happy that it wasn't as serious as it looked.

Wife Beater: Sleeveless shirt, stereotypical garment worn while abusing one's wife

:) had to laugh at that, never heard that term before :p seems I got you and J4mie the wrong way round, so that means the other guy is Baneppi, my powers of deduction are legendary in these parts :)

Daniel
