Susp -5

Holy Cadillacs, Batman! That is SOFT!!!!!

I did my run with susp at 0

I need a soft suspension to make the grip better, and less the slidings.
I can control the car much better by releasing the throttle in that way.

I hope you can understand, what i'm writing! :)

jso1985

but doesn't the car get a bit out of control in the jumps wih such soft suspension?

4th August 2007, 08:47
I don't think that it does, I use a quite soft suspention setting too, and you spend less time repairing the suspention this way.

cyborg_hun
4th August 2007, 17:31
I dont think so, i dont see the difference!

On the other hand there are much more flat part in finland, than jumps :)

I prefer better controlling on flat surface to end up between the trees.

Cyborg_hun finished the rally!

It was an average rally full of mistakes.
Day1
ss4 - went off the road, to a tree
ss5 - rain
ss7 - went off the road
ss9 - rain
ss10 - rain,spun

Day2
ss1 - big crash to tree, severe damage, good start :)
ss5 - went of the road

I tried to be calm, and drive carefully, but i couldn't manage it! :)
Thanks to the hungarian rally fans for travelling to Finland seeing me! :)

Wov, I had a really good rally, I haven't had much luck in Finland before (you know, trees very close to the road and such), but this one went really smooth and I actually finished the rally with all windows intact..

..now I just to also go fast! :D

Rat
6th August 2007, 12:27
Had some fast times in shakedown:
1:03.67
1:02.57
1:04.08
1:01.15
1:00.64

hello
i have been a big fan of CMR2 since the game was released and i have spent thousands of hours playing it.I havent played for maybe 4 years but yesterday i install the game again and i am feeling great.
So i want to try to compete with you guys but i dont understand how that works...
So i must race on stage FINLAND 10 on time trial with any of the WRC cars and try to give the best time ?
How can i prove that i have made the time?
With a screenshot or something else?
greetings

I need an extension as well. Il-sleeping daughter (yet horribly cute as well) is robbing me of rally time....

Could run the rally this PM/early AM tomorrow...

After reading the this thread i got board, so decided to see if i was still any good at CMR2 after being a CMR addict for so long.

pulled a 56.88 on shakedown, 1st time i have played the game in about 2 years.

Setup was nearly there, rear end was too wild, needs more work, and kept losing about a second or 2 in the 2nd half of the stage, no idea where i was losing it, i suspect the jump and after as i couldn't get it to flow correctly.

rumen2211

same here as Dr Twist
i havent played for 5 years but now i am giving it a try again.
for this particular stage finland shakedown i can say that this is one of the fastest tracks in the whole game and you must be very aggresive to achieve a good time.
my best time so far is: 00:54:05 but i think i can go max 00:53 or 00:52:50 on a perfect lap by my standarts.
you am using Seat Cordoba with AT cause this car is the fastest WRC car in the game,i am using a very soft suspension too and front power ratio.

stage-by-stage results are now finally available at the yahoo group, here's some rally stats:

- Stage Wins: Marcel Haenen 17, Cybrog_hun 1
- Rally Leaders: SS1-SS18: Marcel Haenen
- A "quiet" rally where the drivers held their final position almost the whole rally with a bit of change in the fight fro 4th place between Jso1985 and Tannat at the start of day 2

thanks for your patience
