Today the WRC teams were allowed by BF Goodrich to test the Pirelli tyres that will be the standard for the next 3 years. But only with their number 2 or 3 or number 4 driver, and only on their 2006 cars !!!

Quite a hard compromise from the French company. Citroen was not allowed to let Loed and even Sordo do the tests for them, so they asked Francois Duval to do the tests on a Xsara WRC from PH Sport. Ford hired Marko Martin.

Who decided who can test Pirelli??? Is it Pirelli or BFGoodrich??? And why not Sordo??? Sordo isn't No.1 driver for Citroen.... Whatever the reason, it is a strange decision.

BF Goodrich has fordiding the factory drivers from Total Citroen, Ford BP and Subaru WRT to drive on any other tyre than BF Goodrich, and probarly it is written in their contract. The big French company is showing their (very small) charachter :dozey:

Citroen (with the privateer team P.H. Sport) has tested with Duval, but with Toni Gardemeister too, who was present in Sardinia since tuesday!

If it's in the contract then it's in the contract....

A bit like Schumacher in the race of Champions a few years back, I seem to remember he was only allowed to race in the Ferrari as his contract stated he was only allowed to drive Ferrari cars...

Sorry for bringing F1 into it...
