Hi everybody,

last week it was Rally Bulgaria , round of ERC, which was won by a bulgarian pilot Dimitar Iliev! Well during the rally other bulgarian teams made a contestation ( I'm not sure if taht is the word ) against his car for several things! The waste gate, the restrictor of the turbine, the fuel regulator and some other things! The FIA technical representative concluded that all these parts are regular! But the last contestation was about a clutch sensor or valve ( I'm not sure ) that is install in the road car but did not figure in the homologation paper! The teams who made the contestation claim that this sensor or valve helps the pilot to shift the gears without releasing the gas pedal and not to push the clutch to the bottom and form this he can make big advantage! The FIA technical representative forwarded the problem to FIA so they to decide ! So if someone knows any information about that sensor I'll be very greatfull! Any information will be helpfull! The car is Mitsubishi Lancer Evo9 made by Nocentini! A friend of mine from Czech Republic told me that every car he prepares has this sensor! I'm attaching picture so you can see the sensor! Heve you ever heard of this sensor?

Thank you!
Regads!

Sorry, I have no idea on this but have you tried Mitsubishi Europe (http://www.ralliart.com/index_e.html) or any specialist Preparation firms in the uk?
Good luck.

On a standard car it is used to knock the diffs off and also the AYC. I dont nthink it would appear on an evo RS. It isnt on the cars I have had..... But a lot of people use a flat shift system on group N cars....... ;)

but flat shift systems are not homologated , right?

Flat systems are not homologated, but almost impossible to detect if wiring is there in the standard car. Another make in Gr.N has had it for years...

Ok I understant! Recently I've undrestanted that almost 80% of the Mitsu rally cars have that kind of swich and system!!! So we, the bulgarian rally fans , are waiting impatiently what will FIA decide!

Well FIA have decided, everything is OK with Iliev's car ! This clutch switch is not related with the car performance! So the problem with car seems to come from the device between the seat and the steering wheel, which device has very very heavy right foot! :) :) :)

Have you checked no marbles attached to that heavy device? :)

I have never installed any additional sensor to clutch system, using selected quality of metal sheet (you may call it flat system) actually can give sufficient comfortability when shifting the gear. Not sure about sensor you pictured, basically each user (driver) can arrange the best set-up how deep we have to push the clutch pedal to bottom ergonomically as we want.

I have only fuel sensor installed to maximize engine performance but on the other hand it minimizes fuel consumption :D

Seems you enjoy your club there.
