but still i feel a bit cheated now! no i feel gullible that i believed that the scsa series could get better than last season with the false hopes of a bigger grid? those that do race well thanks.

but i feel well i dont know angry that the truth is not out there! the way fans are i feel lied too, to get them through the gates on th assumption( still feel gullible) off bigger grids, we have been told off more cars all season.

3 i recall (could be wrong) have past rookie tests and nowhere to be seen??

i stay over night with my family each weekend becuase i come from so far away and pay a shed load in fuel and i am a fan!!
so what have new fans got to be an incentive to come.

but i am streched in my love for the series now sorry! sorry if this causes offence to those who no doubt put hard work into it, but this is the 3rd weekend and the way i see it if we don't have more drivers this weekend we won't.

the way it is looking now this is going to be the last scsa season and that is just sad but a reality of the world of racing! some survive some don't ,

I'd like to be proved wrong.

to top it all of looks rain again !!!!

Car 20 - no one has been lied to. Duane and Ray have been very open in providing the appropriate press releases - if you'd have cared to read them, you would not be spouting this very tired old argument.

Regarding the rookies, the issues have been licencing ones, which is a matter for the MSA and the BRSCC, placing it out of the hands of the V8 series officials. As for the weather, again, out of our hands.

I be a rookie! I'm here! (and there!)

I know that Miguel is gutted that he can't race this season. He's in a catch 22 situation, thanks to FIA rules, let alone MSA ones, where he held a Portuguese version of an International C, but took out the equivalent of a National A (as he was told that's what he needed), only to find that the Portuguese National A is only equivalent to a UK National B. Now, to upgrade, he was told that he needed to do 2 National A grade races in Portugal, or 6 national B grade (or their equivalent). To get into those races (hiring a drive) would cost more than his V8 Trophy budget = no V8 Trophy for Miguel.
At the end of the year, he can re-apply for his International, since he can provide evidence of holding one previously. It's an annoying regulation, but one that we all have to live with.

Wayne (the other Rookie that passed with me and Miguel) needed to sell his rally car before he went any further.

Adriano's budget didn't run to cover the "what if" scenario (you bend it you buy it!). But he's not totally put off.

Wilky isn't made of money.

However, Carl will be joining us in July.

There are others lurking in the wings that are working on putting budgets together to run in the series, but from my experience of the past seven months, getting sponsors for any sort of motorsport is a very demoralising process. From thousands of letters, emails, and telephone calls, we have received ONE offer of cash support, and FOUR offers of material goods "to sell to raise money". Adding them all together they won't cover a set of tyres, but I'm still here!

And the weather. I cannot comment for fear of being banned from the forum.
If weather is linked to depression, I'm off to Beach Head, such is my disgust with the British "Summer". Flaming June? They got the first letter right!

I'm starting to put plans into action for next season, and we still have three meetings to go this year!!

If, and it's a BIG IF, things fall into place, RCR may be running two cars.

What you should remember from this dismal season that was 2006, is that there were typically 6-8 cars. We have four more this season already.

It will happen next year. Don't worry. MSA Sanctioned Championship, or not.

Come and see Team Air Ambulance on Saturday (and Sunday), you're most welcome. As is everyone else.

Rob.

FFS, what a shambles, and a shame for him :\

Not a shambles really, just the FIA licence rules.

ok i will go back and get in line or stick my head in the sand, but there are quotes off provisional 17 cars for this season on the website dated november even last season, even saw more names than did turn up, and even on brscc even quotes 14 for this year,

there rant over , i am as p####d of as anyone and like anyone if i had the means to do anything about i would but hey i really dont like stock car racing EH! ;) , I just come on here to annoy ;)

thanks rob for taking time to explain some finer points to my questions, but as in life it is full of disappointments.

as for the weather maybe we should put rockingham on wheels so we can take it to warmer climates in times of need!!!!
