Isle of Man International Rally - 19th - 21st July

Welcome to the 2nd round of the CMR2 British Rally Championship!

The Manx rally is a true BRC classic, this is the 2nd asphalt round of the season, and also the toughest round of the season as the difference between victory and failure is just a few centimeters away as you race by the stonewalls and rocks lining the roads on this island! If any, this is the rally where you need to pay attention to your codriver, as you don't want to loose your way when racing through the narrow city streets of the Isle Of Man!

In-game rally: Italy (asphalt) - Expert level
Shakedown: None, but comments on your recce is welcome!
Deadline: Thuesday 24th at 11.59 pm (Strict)
Submit times to: [email:1juqsg93]jtl@jtl-media.com[/email:1juqsg93] or by PM to me (Exhausted)

This is how the timecard should look.

What is CMR2 British Rally Championship?

This Colin McRae Rally 2 championship is just like the CMR2 WC hosted by jso1985, the only difference is that it follows the the calendar of the British Rally Championship, the races are shorter, and the point scale is closer, so that you will still hold a chance of a podium finish should you miss a rally or two.

Calendar:

This championship will follow the calendar of the "real" BRC, with the only exeption of the Ulster International that I have moved a week, as it was in the same weekend as New Zealand.

25th - 27th May – Jim Clark International Rally
Ingame rally: France Expert level

19th - 20th / 21st July – Isle of Man International Rally
Ingame rally: Italy Expert level

25th Aug - 26th Sept – Ulster International Rally
Ingame rally: France (M) Expert level

6th Oct – International Rally Yorkshire
Ingame rally: Finland Expert level

30th Nov - 2nd Dec – Wales Rally GB **
Ingame rally: UK Expert level

** The Wales Rally GB round of the CMR2WC managed by jso1985, will also count as points for this championship, so that you don't have to drive that round twice (Thanks jso!).

You will only be eligeble for scoring BRC points in the Wales Rally GB, if you have competed in any of the previous rounds of the CMR2 BRC of 2007.

Rules:

A short outline of the rules:

* All nationalities can enter!

* Only WRC cars can be used (no Group B).

* You can change car as often as you like during the championship.

* Both Playstation and Pc players can enter

* Guidelines and results for each race will be posted on this forum.

* At least 3 competitors must enter and finish each rally, in order for that round to count in the points.

* Apart from these, the rules are the same as for the CMR2WC

I think we all need practice on tarmac! I'd forgotten about this series. Can't wait to get back into it and the WRC as well.

Very good rally, nice flow, but highly unreliable weather reports.

The worst rally for this season so far for our team. We just could not get the confidence. A lot of rain, mistakes, spins, one roll-over. Not even close to my PB, but still, we are happy that at least we finished the rally.

p.s. I think the pace notes can be better for this rally.

Faster pacenotes would be nice, there is a single "Bad camber" note in this rally, and it came so late that I just barely made it round the corner with one wheel on the asphalt.

Another asphalt rally riddled by rain showers, and another win by Cyborg_hun who despite of two consecutive wins is only 4 points ahead of Ramore, leaving the championship wide open!

Thank you all for participating, and I hope to see you back for the last asphalt round of the season at the Ulster International Rally - 25th - 26th August.

Nice! I didn't expect to be second. But I don't think I will be able to fight for the championship title, Cyborg_hun is really fast. I think for the rest of the championship I will be driving for stage wins and not for a steady performance.

Very close indeed! Sadly I am sure that we can expect rain for the next round too, as this is the British championship :D

I have to win one of these things soon. Equal 3rd in this company is good as well.
