"The response has been overwhelming," Busch Series director Joe Balash said. "One of the good challenges we have right now is they're talking about adding additional grandstands because of the response of people wanting to buy tickets."

As I recall, there were some who said that NASCAR wouldn't do well in Quebec. Too bad the threads on the old forum are gone. :D ;)

I never said once they wouldn't do well in Quebec, but I can tell you half to 3/4 of the fans will be driving in from New England and Ontario. I still believe that someone with money in Ontario with foresight could have built a decent oval 5 years ago, and he would be getting the money out right now like an ATM. But it didn't happen. No matter, Montreal will sell as many seats if not more than they do for f1 at the same track. I just don't think the track itself will put on the show I would like to see the Busch cars put on.
