Who else has seen this at the cinema?

My girlfriend and her friends dragged me in the other friday night, i found myself sat watching the trailer adverts having no idea what this film was about.

Put it this way, by 1/3's of the way through i was thinking, "this an 18?? how come none of us were ID'd" Turns out it was a 15, not sure if it should be though :s

I thought it was fantastic and well put together, rather sick in places but it got my attention right to the end where i normally get bored in most films (almost walked out of Hot Fuzz)

Don't want to give too much away as i think if you hjaven't a clue what it's about like how i went to see it you will be more shocked.

Anyone else have views on it?

Its part of that "torture porn " genre thats become popular, along with the Hostel and Saw series. I cant watch these things, when I see someone bound and tortured it really turns me.

Can't say I'm a fan of these films either. I have a weak stomach for graphic violence and the misogyny in most of them really bothers me.

Its certainly a shock film and i was left astonished, mixed feelings, sick film but really gets to you, thus in my view, making it a well put together film.

I was a fan of the Saw films too

It was ok, i didnt think it was as gruesome as it could have been, and i thought it was a bit predictable in places, but its worth going to see if you're into movies like that.

such films are okay for those who'd like to be thrilled but for those with weak stomachs to violence it's a no no.

I don't get why anyone is entertained by watching people get carved.....and if anyone who is entertained by it, if they ACTUALLY witnessed it, they would like be cured.

IT just proves that there is no lowest common level to movies.....they will show as much as they can get away with.....whatever happened to a good story and clever cinematography?

It decided that life was better elsewhere. Hopefully it'll come back one day, but I'm not holding my breath. :s
