As part of Robby's weekly press release is this little statement: "Monster Energy plans to use this weekend’s event at Infineon Raceway as a market test in NASCAR as a primary sponsor."

I wonder if this is for additional support of the 7 car, the 77 Robby wants to run full time or the 5 car at Hendrick Motorsports. Jayski reported that Monster is owned by Budwiser, which of course has a long standing relationship with Junior.

Monster is sponsoring Paul Tracy in Champ Car as well. I guess they like loose cannon entertaining drivers. Gordon is the loose cannon of all loose cannons at times for sure.

I suspect what it will boil down to how big is the check and will we find a way of measuring whether we got our money back? Good on Robbie for getting sponsors though.....

I speculate Robbie is triing too hard to get all the pieces to fit properly. IMO He might need to take a day off and stand back and look at what hes got going for himself. Good luck Robbie- I mean Rubby.
