quite an impressive website for a team who apparently have no car(s) etc....i know anyone can build a website but why if you have no real intention of running.

I also find it odd that if they had nothing in the pipeline, why would Dan Eaves allow his name to be associated with it ?

http://team-cvr.co.uk/

i'd love to see the chevy's in the btcc but i don't think it will be happening anytime soon.

thoughts anyone ?

c

Dan Eaves race history -

Say it all really don't it?

They certainly talk the talk ("We firmly believe we have all the key Ingredients to attract significant media attention, whilst proving that Team CVR can win the coveted BTCC title with our Carbon Neutral race team" - - official website) just wish we could see them on the track.

As it says dan eaves has taken a sabatical for 06/07 I assume they are in for 08.

Will believe it when I see it

Did a little investigation this afternoon with the Companies House website

Clyde Valley Racing is a company which has registered office in an office block in the centre of Glasgow.

All of the other BTCC (& Motorsport teams) I tried had their registered offices as their workshops where the cars are prepared. Which leads me to believe CVR do not have the cars, nor the premises to run a BTCC team (as we already in fact know)

Love the way they have taken the circuit guides off btcc.net and recoloured them!

I guess you have to create a professional looking website in order to attract and give potential sponsors confidence in your proposal.

And with Dan Eaves in a Chevrolet. A certain favourite to win the championship... Bring em on!

just had a look at companies house the company address is actually an accountants office in the centre of glasgow and from memory (I remembered the name) they are on the 3rd floor of an office block. hope they have a big lift to get the cars up there, then again you dont need a lift to operate a laptop which is what CVR are atm :-)

I have subscribed to their news letter just to see if they get back to me. I can't believe that Dan would saction the use of his name i he wasn't involved?WTF?

AlexD

Also, what touring car team would make a driver take an entire year out just to 'fully integrate' them with the team?

Robinho

a team without cars and a driver with no other drive?

I guess if ain't costing either the driver or team anything, I guess there's no harm in them acknowledging each other. Unless one side starts causing trouble for the other...

Does dan eaves have a personal website that we might be able to contact him from? Ask the man in the plan...

Doesn't look like it. If you google his name the first hits you get are his profiles on sites like this and btcc pages.

That is just the opening bid and there is a reserve, but perhaps the car could still be had for a good deal? So this is CVR's chance to buy a car then!

Maurer have been trying to sell that car for a while.

kmchow
28th June 2007, 19:44
But if you could get the car for $65K, that must be a killer deal for a S2000 car? Best deal out there? Instead of buying all these old BTC cars, like the Astra, etc...

The Maurer cars have been up for sale for ages - way back when the this Clyde Valley saga started. What is up with them, why can't they off load them?

as there old and slow compared to the latest spec cars there 2005 cars.

chevy wernt exactly very quick in 2005 and German ADAC PROCAR series is no where near btcc standards.

But they're a good way to get into S2000. I wonder why didn't Arkas Racing buy that car instead of the Astras? They're going to have a hard time offloading the Astras?

erkut already owned a astra and has good relationships with vxr and vauxhall

He did look at new builds and even attended an RML test at rockingham. however as i understand it, price and backup came into it and as stated the existing relationship with 888 swayed the deal.
