V8Thunder is an online racing league, utilising the NASCAR Racing 2003 Season simulation. A number of forum members here race at V8Thunder. This is for the benefit of those who don't, but might be interested. Thanks to the forum mods here for permitting this post.
V8THUNDER SHORT
For their Summer 2007 season, V8Thunder are launching a fifth series - V8Thunder Short.
As the name suggests, this series will be raced exclusively on short tracks, and will run on Friday evenings. To promote the short track atmosphere, the Late Model v2 mod will be used. To the best of our knowledge, Short will be the only short-track series in Europe (or with a Europe-friendly start-time). As a result, we hope to attract new members to our league to compete in this series.
Hooters?
The series will be based loosely on the USAR Hooters Pro Cup, and the schedule consists of tracks used by this series, either this season or in recent seasons.
Format
The format of each round will be a combination of the current V8Thunder Lites format (first race will be yellows off and the second will be yellows on) and the old V8Thunder Trucks double-header format (each round will consist of two races of equal length). Race lengths will be such that the first race will last around 25 mins; the duration of the second depends, of course, on the number of yellows.

V8THUNDER TROPHY
V8Thunder's premier series - V8Thunder Trophy - will be switching dates for their Summer 2007 season. Previously run on a Saturday evening, as of next season the Trophy series will be running on Monday evenings. Trophy is V8Thunder's only CUP series, and is the pinnacle of the league's ladder of series. Featuring open setups, no driver aids, and the longest races in the league, Trophy is a series for only the more experienced and skilled NR2003 racers.
V8THUNDER LITES, TRUCKS & INTERS
V8Thunder's other three series - Lites (ASA-2004), Trucks (CTS), and Inters (GNS) continue to be run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, respectively.
