Yound, hip or happening doesn't pull in the ratings does it? The highest rating radio program in the world is Wake Up To Wogan on duffley Radio 2 and not funkified Chris Moyles on zany Radio 1. Wogan is not young, hip or happening and his listeners often complain of yawn, hip replacements and hardihood.
Ok, so I can't remember the days of 247 but I do remember 275 & 285 with fondness.

More of the little 2s can be found here http://www.meldrum.co.uk/mhp/identzone/bbc2/bbc2_animations.html :D

Yeah well radio ratings are meaningless. The highest-rated radio show in Auckland is some crazy old conservative talkback host, and the only reason for that is second-hand Japanese imported cars with radios that can't receive anything else.

How can anyone prefer that massive chin to Letterman??? That's not right. Letterman is the best :D

Well-said Donnie  but admittedly, Paul Schaeffer is the weak link.

Rollo
14th February 2007, 05:32
Microwave Casserole... Yumbolie! :D

LeonBrooke
14th February 2007, 05:40
Mmmmmmmmmmmm, fish and chips!

fly_ac
14th February 2007, 06:55
I feel better now.......I'll have the LW :p :

LeonBrooke
14th February 2007, 07:09
Correction: I'll have the LW :D

djarumdudley
14th February 2007, 07:34
actually to make thing fully correct: you've had the last word!

LeonBrooke
14th February 2007, 07:40
Not quite: you've had the last word.

I have it :p :

DonnieDarco
14th February 2007, 07:43
We've all had it :D

LeonBrooke
14th February 2007, 07:48
And now I have it again :D

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 08:50
He will insist on wearing loafers with tassels on, white socks

Seems to be the hight of fasion over there, I'd not seen loafers with tassels on since the late 80's until I went into a store over there in November

DonnieDarco
14th February 2007, 09:11
If his trousers weren't too short I could just about stand it, but when you combine tassels with white socks and the trouser problem too, its just too much :D

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 09:15
Hey come on now, he's of the generation that brought us Hawaiian shirts, sports jackets and check trousers

DonnieDarco
14th February 2007, 09:25
Well, he clearly needs to employ a stylist :D Its not like he's poor! :D

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 09:32
The trouble is, if he did employ an American stylist then they would probably tell him he looks great :\

DonnieDarco
14th February 2007, 09:56
I seriously doubt that :D

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 10:13
Loafers with tassels are the 'in' thing over there, trust me ;)

Donney
14th February 2007, 10:54
The LW is not interested in fashion.

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 10:57
Which is why Letterman has never had it ;)

fly_ac
14th February 2007, 11:25
Now I have the LW, until someone take it. :)

Donney
14th February 2007, 11:31
That will be me.

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 11:36
Followed by me

Donney
14th February 2007, 11:51
Eat my dust! :p :

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 12:10
No thanks, it's not lunchtime yet :D

Donney
14th February 2007, 12:13
What if I add some milk and cereals? ;)

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 12:17
It's too late, or too early, for cereal. Besides I already had Cheerios for breakfast :D

fly_ac
14th February 2007, 13:38
.........and me, again, with the LW. :p :

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 14:05
Are you sure it's just you this time? Not your 'friend' as well ;)

fly_ac
14th February 2007, 15:26
Ohhh.....as well as the LW :D

Donney
14th February 2007, 17:05
So where's the party?

Rollo
14th February 2007, 19:36
And more importantly, whose going to end up with a lampshade on their head?

CarlMetro
14th February 2007, 20:14
Can't remember ever wearing a lampshade, can I give it a go?

Rollo
14th February 2007, 22:47
Absolutely :D

Someone may even provide the WKD so that you forget who you are and dance the fandango on top of a table too! No-one ever actually remembers wearing a lampshade, but isn't that the point?

DonnieDarco
14th February 2007, 23:56
I do remember pretending to be a tree once, by standing very still with my arms outstretched atop a wall :D

stevie_gerrard
15th February 2007, 00:09
good for you :p :

CarlMetro
15th February 2007, 00:14
Not so good for all the other kids in the playground at the time though ;)

DonnieDarco
15th February 2007, 00:51
Sadly this was not in the playground, so I have no excuse :D

Rollo
15th February 2007, 01:07
Look it's your cousin Beryl here to see you, do you remember her? Come down off the wall. We're going to go for a walk now, would you like that? Where are your glasses, pet? You'll need those. Of course you can't see them you're not wearing them.

DonnieDarco
15th February 2007, 01:15
Its not my fault, I was with a group of friends, one of them said "Quick, some people are coming! Pretend you're a tree." So we all did :D

harvick#1
15th February 2007, 01:24
well I don't feel like a tree, I feel like a human :D

DonnieDarco
15th February 2007, 01:43
You can't have one, get some pizza :D

harvick#1
15th February 2007, 02:01
pizza :facelick: mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :D

LeonBrooke
15th February 2007, 05:42
I had pizza for afternoon tea today :D

Donney
15th February 2007, 10:33
It's been ages since I don't have pizza.

fly_ac
15th February 2007, 11:04
I think I'll have some Pizza today.....with the LW. :)

Donney
15th February 2007, 11:05
You can have it on your own. ;)

fly_ac
15th February 2007, 11:08
It good manners to share though. :D

CarlMetro
15th February 2007, 11:22
Well you can always send me a slice, just so long as it ain't got anchovies on it :D

DonnieDarco
15th February 2007, 11:42
Pepperoni works for me :D

Donney
15th February 2007, 11:45
I don't mind anchovies. :p :

CarlMetro
15th February 2007, 11:46
Pepperoni works for me :D

Do you pay him much?

fly_ac
15th February 2007, 12:57
Do you pay him much?

 :D :rotflmao:

Donney
15th February 2007, 14:51
Are you in search of a new job again, Carl? :p :

CarlMetro
15th February 2007, 16:04
Hell no

Donney
15th February 2007, 16:42
BTW how's the new one going?

CarlMetro
15th February 2007, 16:47
Not started yet, still in the old one for two more weeks, not that I'm doing much ;)

Donney
15th February 2007, 18:06
That's why you want the LW to keep you company?

djarumdudley
15th February 2007, 19:03
time for me and the last word to share some quality time while watching Daytona qualifying.

Rollo
15th February 2007, 19:20
There's a show on Channel 10 tonight called "The End Of The World As We Know It". Do you think that there's a possibility that it might start with an aeroplane?

stevie_gerrard
15th February 2007, 19:54
possibly, it might just be global warming though :p :

schmenke
15th February 2007, 19:56
Why would it start with an aeroplane.

(btw, what's the difference between an airplane and an aeroplane? :mark: )

CarlMetro
15th February 2007, 20:18
(btw, what's the difference between an airplane and an aeroplane? :mark: )

All the bubbles of course ;)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aero_(chocolate)

djarumdudley
15th February 2007, 21:36
more Daytona action, more last word for me!

MrJan
15th February 2007, 22:26
I am tired, I shall therefore have the LW to rejuvenate me.

DonnieDarco
15th February 2007, 22:36
Its my turn to have the LW :D

MrJan
15th February 2007, 22:39
Tisn't :p :

CarlMetro
15th February 2007, 22:57
I didn't realise we were taking turns :\

djarumdudley
15th February 2007, 22:57
nor you'rsnt

Rollo
15th February 2007, 22:58
Why would it start with an aeroplane.

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an airplane - Lenny Bruce is not afraid.

... anyway I feel fine.

MrJan
15th February 2007, 23:01
Why did you take the 75 away from your name anyway Rollo?

djarumdudley
15th February 2007, 23:19
surely for the minimum amounts of the last word being lost from him.

Rollo
15th February 2007, 23:36
It was decided by thems that be that I'm as famous and awesome as other people with only one name like Pele, Sting, Ronaldo, Edge and Zico.

DonnieDarco
16th February 2007, 00:55
Can't argue with that :D

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 01:02
Of course you can, you're a woman :p :

DonnieDarco
16th February 2007, 01:04
Ok, I won't argue with it then, is that better? :D

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 01:07
NO, you'll just sit there sulking about it, might as well get it out in the open now :)

Rollo
16th February 2007, 01:35
On the kits for the football team I play for, everyone has their surname on their back except me. I am Rollo and even sometimes on official team sheets I appear as that as well. :D

(except that I play in the number 28 because originally it was the highest number in the set)

LeonBrooke
16th February 2007, 05:16
I'll think I'll help the LW to escape the impending argument, it doesn't like bad feeling.

DonnieDarco
16th February 2007, 06:01
NO, you'll just sit there sulking about it, might as well get it out in the open now :)

I am not sulking about it, Rollo IS a legend, so shut it, bumface :D

LeonBrooke
16th February 2007, 07:32
Luckily I was here to slam my hands over the LW's ears!

fly_ac
16th February 2007, 07:44
I'll help.... :D

LeonBrooke
16th February 2007, 07:59
It's okay, I've got the situation in hand :D

fly_ac
16th February 2007, 08:10
I insist :cheese:

DonnieDarco
16th February 2007, 08:10
You do realise Leon, that the LW doesn't have any ears, right? :D

LeonBrooke
16th February 2007, 08:25
Well you know, its sound-sensing-thingies :D

Donney
16th February 2007, 09:24
But the LW doesn't like to be slammed. I'll take it from now on.

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 11:08
Time for a more sensible member to take it for a while :D

fly_ac
16th February 2007, 11:32
.....for a while, yes :cheese:

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 11:34
Even for a brief moment, the LW is always greatful to be away from the nutboxes :D

fly_ac
16th February 2007, 11:39
Gawd your fast, but I'll take the LW again. :p :

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 11:48
I'm a whole lot more than that ;)

Donney
16th February 2007, 11:56
Like more sensible? :p :

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 11:58
Of course ;)

fly_ac
16th February 2007, 12:27
The LW is sensible. :p :

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 12:29
Just like me :D

fly_ac
16th February 2007, 13:18
Arguably....... :cheese:

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 13:20
No arguement required :D

fly_ac
16th February 2007, 13:36
 :D

I'll have the LW, for now. :)

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 15:18
Now is over :D

fly_ac
16th February 2007, 15:47
I can see that. :cheese:

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 15:51
Can you see this too?

fly_ac
16th February 2007, 16:01
Yes I can. :p :

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 16:03
Good, because this is an LW, you may have only seen it briefly in the past :D

stevie_gerrard
16th February 2007, 18:12
well it is extinct after all, this is the last one :p :

DonnieDarco
16th February 2007, 18:14
Blimey, Carl's had the verbal trots all day :D

Brown, Jon Brow
16th February 2007, 18:17

This forum has been took over by a Brown Jonnie :erm:

DonnieDarco
16th February 2007, 18:19
No it hasn't :D

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 19:35
Blimey, Carl's had the verbal trots all day :D

And the LW too :D

DonnieDarco
16th February 2007, 19:44
Well thats gotta stop :D

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 19:47
Why?

DonnieDarco
16th February 2007, 20:55
Just because :D

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 21:42
poo bum willy knickers :p :

DonnieDarco
16th February 2007, 22:01
So rude! :D

CarlMetro
16th February 2007, 22:13
Rude? It's what I want to name my next four kids :D

Rollo
17th February 2007, 01:05
QED and quid pro quo,
so little time,
so much to know! :D

DonnieDarco
17th February 2007, 01:14
You know Carl, I almost look forward to it - Almost :D

CarlMetro
17th February 2007, 13:17
I think Poo Metro has a good ring to it :p :

DonnieDarco
17th February 2007, 23:07
There's a joke in there somewhere, I just don't want to find it :D

CarlMetro
18th February 2007, 03:16
You know you want to really ;)

DonnieDarco
18th February 2007, 03:20
No no, I really don't wanna :D

CarlMetro
18th February 2007, 03:35
What on earth are you doing up this time of the morning?

DonnieDarco
18th February 2007, 04:27
Not sleeping, and you? :D

djarumdudley
18th February 2007, 04:56
wait a minute now, the past bedtime last word is my territory.

Rollo
18th February 2007, 11:41
Ahah, but you seem to forget that half past stupid in the morning happens to be twenty past lunchtime elsewhere in the world. So your theory is banished to the eighth circle of doom.

stevie_gerrard
18th February 2007, 11:57
well, its my last word now, no matter what time it is :p :

DonnieDarco
18th February 2007, 12:48
Well it would be, if it weren't already mine :D Wasn't? One of 'em :D

Donney
18th February 2007, 16:59
My first LW of the weekend.

DonnieDarco
18th February 2007, 17:25
I was about to send out a search party! :D

Donney
18th February 2007, 19:23
:rotflmao:

They would have found me somewhere along the A-6 or AP-1 as I have spent the entire weekend driving my family to different places.

stevie_gerrard

No more what? :D

LeonBrooke
19th February 2007, 02:53
No more of people who aren't me having the last word... ;)

DonnieDarco
19th February 2007, 04:42
Oh...............right :D

LeonBrooke
19th February 2007, 04:45
Yes, pretty much :D

You're up early, Donnie...

fly_ac
19th February 2007, 07:57
I'll have the LW since it is a new week. :)

DonnieDarco
19th February 2007, 08:40
Yes, pretty much :D

You're up early, Donnie...

You could say that :D

Donney
19th February 2007, 09:32
It seems you never sleep and you wake up early, there's something fishy there....

DonnieDarco
19th February 2007, 10:06
I didn't go fishing, honest :D

Donney
19th February 2007, 10:37
Nor the LW, but do you ever sleep?

DonnieDarco
19th February 2007, 11:21
Yes :D

Donney
19th February 2007, 11:42
OK, while you take a nap I'll take the LW :p :

fly_ac
19th February 2007, 12:17
Now I take it. :D

Rollo
19th February 2007, 12:25
Sorry, that falls within the new boundaries of the Congestion Charge. You now owe me 8 quid :D

fly_ac
19th February 2007, 12:53
I'll can e-mail or fax it to you. :cheese: But I'll keep to LW.

CarlMetro
19th February 2007, 12:57
Not sleeping, and you? :D

I was letting my Cheerios go down a bit before going to bed. Still that was then, this is now :D First greetings of the new week to everyone who hasn't got the LW

fly_ac
19th February 2007, 13:06
Who? U?

CarlMetro
19th February 2007, 13:10
No, not me :D

fly_ac
19th February 2007, 13:15
Ok, I'll try and believe you. :cheese:

DonnieDarco
19th February 2007, 13:16
Greetings back at you Carl :D

CarlMetro
19th February 2007, 13:51
Hi DD :D

fly_ac
19th February 2007, 14:08

CarlMetro
19th February 2007, 14:11

fly_ac
19th February 2007, 14:21
The LW says hello too. :cheese:

CarlMetro
19th February 2007, 14:22
..........and you can see that all the way down there? You must have good eyes ;)

fly_ac
19th February 2007, 14:33
I have contacts.... :p :

CarlMetro
19th February 2007, 14:52
Oh I see :D

fly_ac
19th February 2007, 15:07
Clearly...the LW :D

Donney
19th February 2007, 18:42
You can see clearly now the LW has gone :p :

DonnieDarco
19th February 2007, 20:54
Its gonna be a bright, bright, sunshiney day :D

CarlMetro
19th February 2007, 21:30
Well I wouldn't go that far, but it was a nice day today :D

Donney
19th February 2007, 21:32
My day hasn't been nice at all, but that won't stop me from taking the LW.

CarlMetro
19th February 2007, 21:35
My day was very nice, I spent all day test-driving cars, then ordered my wife a new one :D

Donney
19th February 2007, 21:43
Are you Jeremy Clarkson by any chance? :p :

DonnieDarco
19th February 2007, 21:46
He wishes :D

Donney
19th February 2007, 22:25
I'll ask the LW.

DonnieDarco
19th February 2007, 22:29
Good plan :D

Donney
19th February 2007, 22:37
I knew.

stevie_gerrard
19th February 2007, 22:49
while you say goodbye, ill say hello :D

DonnieDarco
19th February 2007, 23:22
Hello :D

harvick#1
20th February 2007, 00:36

Rollo
20th February 2007, 03:43
If I follow I-40 then take the remnants of Historical Route 66, then Is This The Way To Amarillo?

fly_ac
20th February 2007, 07:35
I'll have to ask the LW that one. :cheese:

DonnieDarco
20th February 2007, 08:22
You don't know?? :D

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 09:10
Are you Jeremy Clarkson by any chance? :p :

No, he tends to drive slightly nicer cars than I did yesterday ;)

fly_ac
20th February 2007, 10:07
You don't know?? :D

No, but the LW know! :cheese:

Donney
20th February 2007, 10:13
The LW is here with me, drop me a PM if there's something you want me to ask. :p :

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 10:15
No need for the PM, I'll just steal it back :p :

Donney
20th February 2007, 10:21
No you won't, but you'll try though, won't you?

fly_ac
20th February 2007, 10:27
I'll try as well. Gotcha! :D

Donney
20th February 2007, 11:18
D'oh!!!!

Yoink!!!!

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 11:21
Yoinking? At lunchtime? On a Tuesday? :s hock:

Donney
20th February 2007, 11:32
It is not luchtime here, I cannot deny it is Tuesday though.

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 11:35
You do know there are strict rules about when you can and cannot yoink, don't you?

Donney
20th February 2007, 11:56
I've never heard of an international legislation about yoinking. I'm aware there are local regulations but I don't think the ones you have to follow apply here.

:p :

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 12:03
Oh no, the rules are universal, they have to be because there are so many yoinkers in this world ;)

Donney
20th February 2007, 12:05
I'll consult it with my lawyer, in the meantime the LW will remain with me just in case.

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 12:08
Well you'll be too busy with your legal team to give the LW the attention it derserves, so I'll take it for a nice drive to buy some office supplies :D

DonnieDarco

Lawyers are all yoinkers though :D

Rollo
20th February 2007, 13:04
Most lawyers are ****ers as well :D

DonnieDarco
20th February 2007, 14:43
Exactly :D

Donney
20th February 2007, 14:43
You all have the right to remain silent :p :

And I'll take the LW.

DonnieDarco
20th February 2007, 14:51
We do, but in this instance, we choose not to exercise it :D

Donney
20th February 2007, 14:57
It was just a reminder.

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 17:17
Sadly you chose to ignore it, so I've come to reposess the LW for non-payment :D

Donney
20th February 2007, 17:21
Surely that's a mistake.

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 17:26
Nope, no mistakes here, just LWs :D

Donney
20th February 2007, 17:34
Like this one?

DonnieDarco
20th February 2007, 19:10
No, that one :D

stevie_gerrard
20th February 2007, 19:28
what about the one over there?

harvick#1
20th February 2007, 19:38
over here :D

jso1985
20th February 2007, 21:36
over there?

MrJan
20th February 2007, 22:35
no, over here.

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 23:13
Oh yeah :D

MrJan
20th February 2007, 23:30
Not any more, it's over there now, drinking hot chocolate (what's going on?)

CarlMetro
20th February 2007, 23:36
Not sure, in fact I'm not entirely sure it's a genuine LW at all :\

Rollo
21st February 2007, 00:19
Ahah, a counterfeit!
It will be like the scandal of the counterfeit box-tops on Rocky & Bullwinkle. Soon there will be so many counterfeit LWs that the market will fall out

LeonBrooke
21st February 2007, 03:28
I think the genuine LW wants to come to Auckland to help me stall when I should be doing an assignment.

...it's on the other side of the world from you all now! Ha ha! You've no chance of stealing it!

fly_ac
21st February 2007, 07:19
I'm on that "other side" of the world too, ha ha ha I can take the LW. :D

CarlMetro
21st February 2007, 10:18
In my role as international man of mystery I have to travel internationally, sometimes very quickly. As such a brief trip to SA is quite feasable, as demonstrated by me sitting here with the LW at my side :D

fly_ac
21st February 2007, 11:06
But, you didn't verify you have the real LW, before you made the return trip. :cheese:

DonnieDarco
21st February 2007, 11:43
I have it :D

CarlMetro
21st February 2007, 13:09
Is it contagious? Have you seen a doctor about it?

DonnieDarco
21st February 2007, 13:55
The LW!! Nothing else :D

Captain VXR
21st February 2007, 16:37
Really?

Donney
21st February 2007, 17:12
Nah she's kidding. :p :

CarlMetro
21st February 2007, 17:20
I don't believe her, perhaps this explains the funny smell?

DonnieDarco
21st February 2007, 17:24
No, thats you being silent but deadly..............again :D

CarlMetro
21st February 2007, 17:26
Funnily enough I haven't all day so far, although I had scrambled egg on toast for lunch so this evening should make up for today :D

DonnieDarco
21st February 2007, 17:31
We'll remember our clothespegs :D

LeonBrooke
21st February 2007, 21:25
Well I take it back to me, it's sitting at my side here in the computer lab at university :D and only staff and students can get in, there's pretty high security here...

CarlMetro
21st February 2007, 21:53
Which is no match for an international man of mystery such as myself :p :

DonnieDarco
21st February 2007, 22:42
Man of mystery??? You had scrambled eggs on toast for lunch, where's the mystery? :D

stevie_gerrard
21st February 2007, 22:53
its in the toast ;)

Rollo
21st February 2007, 23:11
I didn't think that chemical weapons were allowed under the Geneva Convention. Tear Gas is probably allowed but I don't honestly know what army would resort to putting an onion on a stick.

LeonBrooke
22nd February 2007, 01:31
I know, an onion on a stick, it's like the ultimate weapon, definitely...

DonnieDarco
22nd February 2007, 07:18
Wait............what? :D

CarlMetro
22nd February 2007, 10:21
Man of mystery??? You had scrambled eggs on toast for lunch, where's the mystery? :D

The mystery would be not what I ate but where I ate it ;)

fly_ac
22nd February 2007, 10:44
While the eggs do it's work, I'll have the LW. :)

Donney
22nd February 2007, 10:45
The LW knows and will tell me.

CarlMetro
22nd February 2007, 10:54
The LW will tell you something, but it will be a lie, or maybe it will be the truth? The LW is one of my main allies on my missions and I doubt whether it will betray my trust ;)

fly_ac
22nd February 2007, 11:09
Maybe the LW is a double agent, after all it has come to visit me on several occasions, although briefly. :D

CarlMetro
22nd February 2007, 11:12
What, like now you mean? :D

fly_ac
22nd February 2007, 11:14
Exactly, like now. :cheese:

DonnieDarco
22nd February 2007, 12:25
You mean then :D

fly_ac
22nd February 2007, 12:45
No, the LW. :D

schmenke
22nd February 2007, 15:31
:cornfused:

djarumdudley
22nd February 2007, 17:17
to settle the confusion, the last word is mine.

DonnieDarco
22nd February 2007, 19:36
There's no confusion! :D

CarlMetro
22nd February 2007, 20:40
...........And the LW is mine :D

DonnieDarco
22nd February 2007, 21:58
Or..............not :D

MrJan
22nd February 2007, 22:25
hhmmm

Rollo
22nd February 2007, 23:52
You should go and see a doctor about that. They look at hhmmm all the time :D

stevie_gerrard
22nd February 2007, 23:55
see a doctor or a shrink :p :

Rollo
23rd February 2007, 02:56
But not someone with a shrink ray. I wonder...

If you had that sort of shrink ray, could you hypnotically suggest things to people? Would it be possible for me to finally amass my Unholy Army of the Night?

DonnieDarco
23rd February 2007, 03:07
Its worth a try :D

LeonBrooke
23rd February 2007, 04:04
The problem with an Army of the Night is that they're useless during the day.

DonnieDarco
23rd February 2007, 05:01
Yes, but at night they're invincible :D
