MrJan
2nd February 2007, 18:40
Is it not the end of the week in Canada?

schmenke
2nd February 2007, 18:54
No, we have 8-day weeks.

Or so it often feels... :mark:

Donney
2nd February 2007, 20:01
No, we have 8-day weeks.

Or so it often feels... :mark:

So did the Beatles.

MrJan
2nd February 2007, 20:02
I could make some sort of derogatory remark about Canadians at this point but I really don't have it in me to think of one that would be even remotely amusing. Instead I shall just take the LW.

CarlMetro
2nd February 2007, 23:31
I've got that Friday feeling :D

DonnieDarco
3rd February 2007, 08:10
Its not Friday :D

Rollo
3rd February 2007, 10:09
Do you need a passport to go to Lovely?

djarumdudley

LeonBrooke
4th February 2007, 06:37
I'm having a five-day weekend :D

We had Friday off, and Tuesday is a public holiday, so the people at university decided to give us Monday off as well ;)

djarumdudley
4th February 2007, 07:35
what a beautiful situation that is!

LeonBrooke
4th February 2007, 07:47
Oh yes, very much.

I'm taking the LW on holiday with me, and it actually wants to go with me :p :

djarumdudley
4th February 2007, 08:07
that may be a problem as the LW isn't wuite ready to pack it's bags!

DonnieDarco
4th February 2007, 11:22
Yes, it is a problem :D

MrJan
4th February 2007, 11:50
Sunny

stevie_gerrard
4th February 2007, 13:34
yes, it is sunny today, well observed :p :

Donney
4th February 2007, 15:33
Indeed.

DonnieDarco
4th February 2007, 17:00
Its a beautiful day :D

harvick#1
4th February 2007, 17:46
no it isn't its very cold here

djarumdudley
4th February 2007, 19:59
ah, sweet Super Bowl Sunday last word!

harvick#1
4th February 2007, 20:05
I wish the super bowl was over already, I'm tired of hearing the same crap for the past 2 weeks

djarumdudley
4th February 2007, 20:18
true the build up gets reduntant and tedius after awhile, but it's part of the mystique of the game.

LeonBrooke
4th February 2007, 21:21
Well, the game will have happened by now. Was it a good one?

CarlMetro
4th February 2007, 23:32
It ain't started yet

LeonBrooke
5th February 2007, 02:44
Has it now? When is it?

harvick#1
5th February 2007, 03:30
The colts won and the LW is mine :p :

LeonBrooke
5th February 2007, 03:38
You've got a fact wrong there.

The LW is mine! ;)

DonnieDarco
5th February 2007, 07:46
Yes, you have :D

CarlMetro
5th February 2007, 08:48
I know I have..............

5th February 2007, 15:32
up, up and away, its buzz LW :p :

schmenke
5th February 2007, 15:37
Buzz needs fresh batteries :D

DonnieDarco
5th February 2007, 15:47
My cat does not need batteries! :D

Donney
5th February 2007, 17:18
Congratulations!

MrJan
5th February 2007, 18:23
thank you

Donney
5th February 2007, 19:31
You are welcome.

CarlMetro
5th February 2007, 19:38
You're not :p :

schmenke
5th February 2007, 20:04
Whaa...?

Rollo
5th February 2007, 23:43
I have just returned from my expedition to the coffee shop and and returned all-conquering with a black coffee and a friand. It's made by a company called Nez-Bours. And their slogan?

That's when good Nez-Bours become good friands.

schmenke
6th February 2007, 00:20
There's a lingerie shop that I pass by every day. I noticed a few days ago they posted a sign that read "Come on in and try us on for sighs."

(what's a friand? :erm: )

harvick#1
6th February 2007, 01:56
sounds like a new gang :mark:

Rollo
6th February 2007, 04:34
A friand is sometimes known by the much more oblique term of financier. They're more or less sponge cupcake thingos.

CarlMetro
6th February 2007, 10:03
Sounds nice, but not as nice as the LW :D

Donney
6th February 2007, 10:39
My LW sounds much nicer. :p :

DonnieDarco
6th February 2007, 10:51
Morning all :D

Donney
6th February 2007, 11:30

DonnieDarco
6th February 2007, 12:39
I trust you are fully recovered Doney? No traces of lergy still lingering? :D

CarlMetro
6th February 2007, 13:39
Well if he ain't can you ask him not to breath all over the LW during his brief encounters with it :D

Donney
6th February 2007, 16:05
I am feeling fine, thank you DD! :)

DonnieDarco
6th February 2007, 17:07
I'll breathe all over it instead :D

Donney
6th February 2007, 17:11
I'm not sure the LW likes to be breathed over.

DonnieDarco
6th February 2007, 19:14
Oh.............thats unfortunate then :D

schmenke
6th February 2007, 19:28
That's enough DD.
I'll take over from here on... :D

Rollo
6th February 2007, 19:45
I bring tidings of joy and this message of hope for the future... Um...

... well the opening was good!

CarlMetro
6th February 2007, 20:28
I bring Pringles and a nice place for the LW to stay :D

Rollo
6th February 2007, 22:00
There's something more than a little worrying about compressed potato snacks in a can; worse they come from Belgium

MrJan
6th February 2007, 22:05
They're also covered in a thin layer of crack. turns out when people say that they are moreish they actually mean that they are highly addictive and may cause you to lose your grip on reality and become so desperate for your next pringles fix that you might even eat a live rat just for the crack soaked crumbs at the bottom of the can. True story :erm: ;)

CarlMetro
7th February 2007, 01:44
Well it is said that the first step in the battle against addiction is admitting that you're an addict. I can't do that though because I'm not addicted ;)

DonnieDarco
7th February 2007, 02:13
I worry about Miguel sometimes :D

LeonBrooke
7th February 2007, 04:38
I've been learning about pregnancy at uni. It sounds like a stressful time for a woman. I'm glad I'll never experience it first-hand, but I'll have no qualms about inflicting it on my future wife when the time comes ;)

LeonBrooke
7th February 2007, 04:38
This is post 666 for me. You know what that means?

fly_ac
7th February 2007, 07:21
:rotflmao:

DonnieDarco
7th February 2007, 07:33
Gee Leon, thats nice of you :D

CarlMetro
7th February 2007, 08:33
Well after what my wife went through, I'm glad it's not my turn next

DonnieDarco
7th February 2007, 08:49
I think thats a real shame :D

CarlMetro
7th February 2007, 08:58
I don't

DonnieDarco
7th February 2007, 09:10
No, I believe all men should experience the 'joy' of childbirth first hand, and I don't mean by being in the same room when its happening :D

CarlMetro
7th February 2007, 09:22
I'm not talking about the actual birth, more the last six months of the pregnancy itself :\

DonnieDarco
7th February 2007, 10:15
Yes, you'd hate to lose your figure ;) :D

Donney
7th February 2007, 11:43
My figure has been lost for many years now so that would not worry me, I don't fancy being pregnant though, i'ts a "joy" I can live without.

djarumdudley
7th February 2007, 12:33
as i can see you can live without the last word as well.

stevie_gerrard
7th February 2007, 13:20
mine for a while :D

CarlMetro
7th February 2007, 13:26
Too long already ;)

Donney
7th February 2007, 14:51
My LW.

schmenke
7th February 2007, 15:48
Ya think eh?

DonnieDarco
7th February 2007, 16:09
I think, therefore I am :D

Donney
7th February 2007, 19:18
I'll take the LW while you think or you are or whatever.

CarlMetro
7th February 2007, 19:29
Time for a bit of mid-week yoinking :D

Rollo
7th February 2007, 19:34

Donney
7th February 2007, 20:02

Rollo
7th February 2007, 22:07
Rubbish!

...There's a lot of it outside isn't there?
Fancy a brew?

DonnieDarco
7th February 2007, 22:15
We do, some :D Not too much, but a bit :D

schmenke
7th February 2007, 22:33
You buying Rollo?

LeonBrooke
8th February 2007, 05:02
Nice chocolate, that :D

fly_ac
8th February 2007, 08:30
Chocolate and the LW goes nicely together. :cheese:

Donney
8th February 2007, 10:19
Chocolate.......

fly_ac
8th February 2007, 10:36
...and the LW

Rollo
8th February 2007, 10:43
Argh, it's all gone a bit Pete Tong in here :D

DonnieDarco
8th February 2007, 11:35
Business as usual then :D

djarumdudley
8th February 2007, 12:32
i concur

schmenke
8th February 2007, 15:16
I agree

stevie_gerrard
8th February 2007, 16:45
i dont :p :

DonnieDarco
8th February 2007, 19:13
My LW :D

Rollo
8th February 2007, 19:35
Stop!

Ok, Carry on.

MrJan
8th February 2007, 22:15
Is it worth owt?

CarlMetro
8th February 2007, 22:28
Priceless ;)

MrJan
8th February 2007, 22:31
That word has never really made sense to me, if it's priceless then why does it mean it's expensive. Another strange part of the English language.

CarlMetro
8th February 2007, 22:57
Not at all like the LW then ;)

schmenke
8th February 2007, 22:59
How would you know? :p :

MrJan
8th February 2007, 23:02
A man in a plastic mac told me. Then he asked if I wanted to touch his pole and I got scared. Turns out he just had a weird shaped tent pole. Still I've never felt the same about camping since.

Rollo
8th February 2007, 23:12
That word has never really made sense to me, if it's priceless then why does it mean it's expensive. Another strange part of the English language.

Look at the two parts of the word price and less, or if you wish sans price.
Something that is priceless literally has no price. It's not that it is expensive persay but that there is not a price on it; therefore you can not buy it.

Most priceless things are either abstract, unique items or experiences.
There are some things in life that money can't buy, for everything else there's Mastercard. - Case in point.

DonnieDarco
9th February 2007, 05:48
Money can't buy the LW :D

djarumdudley
9th February 2007, 06:00
hence, it must be stolen!

LeonBrooke
9th February 2007, 06:04
No, money can't buy the LW, but money can keep the LW happy once you've (read I've) got it :D

fly_ac
9th February 2007, 08:09
Yes, I can read it as I've got it :cheese:

LeonBrooke
9th February 2007, 08:32
Small factual error there:

I've got the LW :p :

fly_ac
9th February 2007, 08:49
Would that now read as I've got the LW? :D

CarlMetro
9th February 2007, 10:21
No it wouldn't ;)

fly_ac
9th February 2007, 10:41
Wouldn't What? :D

harvick#1
9th February 2007, 11:42
it will never be your LW because its mine, but I have to leave for work so the LW for me will not last long

 good day everyone, haven't been here in a while

fly_ac
9th February 2007, 12:22
correct :D

CarlMetro
9th February 2007, 12:23
haven't been here in a while

Can't say I noticed :p :

DonnieDarco
9th February 2007, 12:44
Hello Harvick :D

CarlMetro
9th February 2007, 12:49
Hello DD  Feeling better now or do we still have to wear our surgical masks?

fly_ac
9th February 2007, 13:01
Surgical Marks? Did anyone say Surgical Masks? I'll take the LW out of harms way. Oh my, RUN :D

DonnieDarco
9th February 2007, 14:16
Hello DD  Feeling better now or do we still have to wear our surgical masks?

I'm better now, but please, keep the mask on :D

Donney
9th February 2007, 15:37
I'm taking the LW for a while.

schmenke
9th February 2007, 15:45
Not for long!

Donney
9th February 2007, 16:22
Don't worry I can solve that.

DonnieDarco
9th February 2007, 17:04
Thats good of you :D

schmenke
9th February 2007, 18:06
Fear not, schmeke is here!
To claim the LW,
For yet another year!

:D

DonnieDarco
9th February 2007, 18:14
That year sure zipped by in a hurry :D

Donney
9th February 2007, 18:24
Does it mean we won't see you till 2008?

DonnieDarco
9th February 2007, 19:15
Not me, Schmeke, as he calls himself :D

schmenke
9th February 2007, 19:42
Well, that's embarassing innit? :mark:

DonnieDarco

Where is the LW going? With me. :cheese:

Donney
10th February 2007, 11:08
I think you should know it isn't.

CarlMetro
10th February 2007, 11:45

Donney
10th February 2007, 12:26
I don't think that is common knowledge.

djarumdudley
10th February 2007, 19:15
my lat word, you've had it for long enough.

DonnieDarco
10th February 2007, 19:29
You have the lat word then, while I have this last word :D

Mp3 Astra
11th February 2007, 00:17
I'll mash it up into pieces and reassemble it as mine

Rollo
11th February 2007, 01:54
I've woken up this morning to find five people either asleep on the lounge room floor or in the hall, and the remnants of a party.

How could someone have a party in my house without me knowing... whilst I was in it?

CarlMetro
11th February 2007, 02:42
Are you sure it's not a case of not remembering the party instead, I did that a lot when I was younger :\

DonnieDarco
11th February 2007, 03:21
Or, coming home blind drunk and just passing out rather than sleeping? Errr, not something I've ever done, no sirree Bob :D

LeonBrooke
11th February 2007, 05:46
What? Is sir Bob here!? Cool, I've always wanted to meet him :D

stevie_gerrard
11th February 2007, 13:05
ive always wanted to meet Sir Freddie Flintoff ;) :p :

Rollo
11th February 2007, 19:30
Are you sure it's not a case of not remembering the party instead, I did that a lot when I was younger :\

I was playing cricket in the afternoon; came back late in the afternoon because of the rain which delayed play. I'd then spent the majority of the evening watching a film on telly when I arrived at the conclusion that none of my friends were doing anything.

Nope I'm afraid that the undead drunken zombies in my house were people that I didn't know. I found out that the party arrived here at 3:30am and never left.

When I fall asleep, wild horses could run through - or in this case, parties can happen - and I'll still have no idea that they've been... save for the evidence.

CarlMetro
11th February 2007, 22:57
NEw one on me, I've never had a party for people I didn't know ;)

Rollo
12th February 2007, 02:30
I've never had a party for people I didn't know ;)
Oh I don't know. David Cameron seems to be doing a pretty successful job of it :D

LeonBrooke
12th February 2007, 05:10
NEw one on me, I've never had a party for people I didn't know ;)

I've been at parties like that, but I've always known the hosts ;)

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 08:16
Anyway, enough of tall this party talk, it's a new week and the LW is back where it belongs :D

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 08:42
........with me I surpose. :cheese:

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 08:45
Erm...........nope ;)

djarumdudley
12th February 2007, 08:52
indeed you're correct!

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 09:07
Of course I am  How many more times do I have to tell you that I'm never wrong ;)

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 09:13
wrong! :D

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 09:15
Yes, you are ;)

djarumdudley
12th February 2007, 09:19
no, it really is you!

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 09:22
I know I was wrong, I thought you had the LW, but I was wrong. :D

djarumdudley
12th February 2007, 09:27
it's good to know your comfortable in your wrongness.

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 09:27
Why change the habit of a lifetime ;)

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 09:37
Change is good, like the LW. :)

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 09:39
Change can cause more problems than it's worth, you're better sticking with what you're good at ;)

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 09:41
Keeping the LW company. :D

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 09:44
No, losing it ;)

djarumdudley
12th February 2007, 09:44
obviously suited for you!

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 09:56
The LW is suited for me. :cheese:

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 10:02
But it doesn't like you :p :

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 10:11
Says who? :)

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 10:29
Well the LW did, obviously  You don't think I'd make up something like that do you? :p :

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 10:36
The LW told me this would happen. ;)

Donney
12th February 2007, 10:43
I guees the LW also told you that it feels much better in my company.

CarlMetro
12th February 2007, 10:46
Strange you should say that, but no it didn't :D

Rollo
12th February 2007, 11:23
Caddelly-caddelly-hoo-hoo!"

Strange you should say that, but no it didn't :D

Well, it should have.

:p :

Rollo
12th February 2007, 11:52
Mustn't grumble now. :D

Donney
12th February 2007, 12:05
Good.

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 12:34
Thanks

Donney
12th February 2007, 14:52
You are welcome.

The LW agrees. :p :

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 15:05
So do I. :D

Donney
12th February 2007, 15:15
What a coincidence!

fly_ac
12th February 2007, 15:28
Not what the LW say. :)

Donney
12th February 2007, 17:09
The LW says it's mine.

DonnieDarco
12th February 2007, 17:56
That's a fib :D

Rollo
12th February 2007, 19:29
Go to gaol. Go directly to gaol. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200

And don't fib neither.

schmenke
12th February 2007, 19:35
H'lo everyone
The LW is now nicely settled with me and no longer desires any further relocations. :D

DonnieDarco
12th February 2007, 19:37
Never mind all that, have some of this :D

schmenke
12th February 2007, 19:39
What is it? Will it make me feel all "funny"? :erm:

Donney

CarlMetro
13th February 2007, 08:52

I'll take the LW with. :disturb:

CarlMetro
13th February 2007, 09:06
You can't because from your own admission, loonies can't have the LW, which rules you out :p :

DonnieDarco
13th February 2007, 09:13
That would rule all of us out, surely? :D

No, I am the sane one that's unquestionable, and the LW is mine a fact which is also out of the question.

DonnieDarco
13th February 2007, 11:58

Rollo - I saw this, and thought of you :D

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/broadcasting/a42695/bbc-two-gets-new-on-screen-look.html

This is going to either sound daft or make me look llike a total anorak...

I already have these :D
Someone leaked these and the BBC One circle idents last November. I knew that they wouldn't be used for a wee bit of time, because a "BBC Policy Document" was considering changing the three boxes logo yet again.

It's good to see the two yet again. This lot is closer in character to the 1997 set when you had the paint pot, the hot steam and the tilted water idents.

And in case you're interested, there's also going to be an additional series of three red circles for BBC One to be released in May, but I've not seen those yet.

DonnieDarco
13th February 2007, 20:06
There's a lovely piece of music to one of those BBC1 idents you mentioned, its the one with children running round in a circle on a lovely summer day.

Are you sure the circles will be red though? There's also one of light being reflected off windows in a high rise, forming a circle.

And now I sound like an anorak too :D

LeonBrooke
13th February 2007, 20:10
I don't think the LW likes hanging around with people like you :p :

DonnieDarco
13th February 2007, 20:12
Oh, that's harsh, that is :D

LeonBrooke
13th February 2007, 20:15
The LW wants a young, hip and happening crowd :D I have no idea how old you are, but your discussion certainly isn't young, hip or happening :p :

wha?

LeonBrooke
13th February 2007, 21:08
Have you seen the Late Show with David Letterman? He sometimes says that to be satirical.

stevie_gerrard
13th February 2007, 21:27
no, but i quite like the tonight show with Jay Leno, quite funny

LeonBrooke
13th February 2007, 21:34
Letterman soundly defeats Leno without releasing any perspiration :p :

harvick#1
13th February 2007, 21:59
hell no, Letterman needs to fix that front gap in his teeth :p :

Leno is way better than David

MrJan
13th February 2007, 22:21
Letterman is a poor version of Leno. Even though most of the writing is done by others I always thought Leno's delivery was much better. Plus the stoner he has on the guitar is way better than Paul Schaffer. Also don't like Letterman's political view.

What I do like is having the LW, which is handy because i have it now, until some swine swipes it away.

harvick#1
13th February 2007, 22:37
swipe away like this :D

Rollo
13th February 2007, 23:20
The LW wants a young, hip and happening crowd :D I have no idea how old you are, but your discussion certainly isn't young, hip or happening :p :

Yound, hip or happening doesn't pull in the ratings does it? The highest rating radio program in the world is Wake Up To Wogan on duffley Radio 2 and not funkified Chris Moyles on zany Radio 1. Wogan is not young, hip or happening and his listeners often complain of yawn, hip replacements and hardihood.
Ok, so I can't remember the days of 247 but I do remember 275 & 285 with fondness.

More of the little 2s can be found here http://www.meldrum.co.uk/mhp/identzone/bbc2/bbc2_animations.html :D

CarlMetro
13th February 2007, 23:24
Whilst I find the conversation on BBC indents, the LW is bored sh1tless and has asked me to take it away for a bit of fun :D

DonnieDarco
14th February 2007, 00:27
How can anyone prefer that massive chin to Letterman??? That's not right. Letterman is the best :D

harvick#1
14th February 2007, 01:12
the chin is better than the big gap :D

DonnieDarco
14th February 2007, 01:50
No chance :D Though I do have one problem with Letterman. He will insist on wearing loafers with tassels on, white socks, and his trousers are always a tad too short. Drives me crazy :D

djarumdudley
14th February 2007, 04:55
forget'em both, leave the tv off until Conan O'Brien comes on.
