MrJan
4th February 2009, 13:04

MrJan

The last word slides to my house :p

MrJan
4th February 2009, 21:49
BUt then flies back to mine.

Rollo
4th February 2009, 23:09
…one flew east, one flew west,
One flew over the cuckoo's nest.

MrJan
4th February 2009, 23:14
The pink penguin fell down the microscopically inept stairs

schmenke
5th February 2009, 00:09
I'm not sure I want to continue to partake in this conversation... :s

MrJan
5th February 2009, 08:42
That's because you're nuts.

Rollo
5th February 2009, 23:11
Blue Canadian Nuts :D

30mL Amaretto
45mL Blue Curacao
2 Stemless Cherries (preferably Don)
45mL Canadian Club Ginger Ale
45mL Yukon Jack Rye Whiskey

MrJan
6th February 2009, 01:38
If Schmekne's nuts are blue then he should get them out of the cold.

schmenke
6th February 2009, 14:32
I walked into the doctor's office the other day covered in plastic film.
The doctor said "I can clearly see you're nuts."

:mark:

MrJan
6th February 2009, 18:33
Man walks into a doctors with a steering wheel down his underpants. Doctor says 'what happened?', man replies 'dunno but it's driving me nuts'

Donney
7th February 2009, 10:29

The LW is with me.

djarumdudley
7th February 2009, 20:27
that's no longer true.

MrJan
8th February 2009, 13:19
Agreed

djarumdudley
8th February 2009, 22:24
i dispute your agreement.

MrJan
9th February 2009, 12:35
Well that's your choice

NoahsGirl
9th February 2009, 15:51
I shall take the LW and you boys can stop arguing

MrJan
9th February 2009, 16:16
Well that's that then.

NoahsGirl
9th February 2009, 20:15
It most cetainly is

MrJan
9th February 2009, 22:19
Absolutely

schmenke
10th February 2009, 15:15
The LW is safely back with me, away from all this nonsense.

MrJan
10th February 2009, 15:57
Rubbish

djarumdudley
10th February 2009, 23:47
seems you've left the last word behind while taking out the trash

MrJan
10th February 2009, 23:55
I didn't take anything out, I went to watch Exeter City win 4-0

schmenke
11th February 2009, 00:03
I went to watch the Habs lose 6 - 2 :bigcry:

djarumdudley
11th February 2009, 00:06
so you've got something in common with the Habs.

MrJan
11th February 2009, 02:21
Habs schmabs, you should get yourself to a Grecians game if you want to see some winning.

djarumdudley
11th February 2009, 03:33
Why? Appears all your doing is losing.

MrJan
11th February 2009, 11:57
My team won 4-0 last night and now I win the LW, top stuff.

schmenke
11th February 2009, 14:24
No, no, no... The LW was just temporarily on loan. It's back with me now.

MrJan
11th February 2009, 14:51
The LW doesn't go out on loan.

djarumdudley
12th February 2009, 04:18
it charges hourly!

MrJan
12th February 2009, 13:18
The LW is a dirty whore

schmenke
12th February 2009, 14:44
Habs lose again, 7 - 2 this time :s
The LW is not impressed :angryfire :

MrJan
12th February 2009, 16:51
So you had a game earlier in the week and then again before the weekend?

schmenke
12th February 2009, 19:22
Well I went to Monday's game and watched Wednesday's game on the telly.
But yes, NHL teams play on average 3 games per week. Habs play again on Saturday.

MrJan
12th February 2009, 21:06
Ouch, our games tend to be Saturday and Tuesday (although some weeks it's just the Saturday). Occassionally they'll play more often, usually over the Christmas period and the Easter Bank Holiday :) Mind you that is a full 90 minutes for most players rather than having lines like they do in hockey.

Rollo
12th February 2009, 21:44
I wonder what sort of result you'd get if the Habs and Hibs played each other in something that neither of them would normally do, like cricket.

schmenke
12th February 2009, 21:52
For the life of me, I don't understand cricket :mark:

MrJan
12th February 2009, 23:42
Not too dissimilar to baseball, although there are only 2 innnings for each team and in those innings you have 10 outs which can be got by catching, runouts (hitting the stumps when the batters are running, in much the same way as baseball) or bowling them out by hitting the stumps. It gets more tricky with other rules but it's fairly simple really.

And if you don't see the appeal, well just imagine getting really drunk at a ball game but doing it for 6 hours, 5 days in a row  :D

Rollo
13th February 2009, 00:43
I can attest to the value of that, especially in the Carribean.

At Port-of-Spain for about £8 you get a plastic milk carton thing, and with it you get unlimited refills of rum for the duration of the Test Match. This if nothing else explains why steel drums and guitars are playing non-stop throughout for five days.

MrJan
13th February 2009, 02:10
I drove to a Pro40 game once, I felt jipped by having to watch cricket with just one beer for the day.

Donney
13th February 2009, 12:11
Cricket is a peculiar form of entertainment.

MrJan
13th February 2009, 14:07
When you think about it though, so are football and motorsport. I mean 22 men kicking a ball, that's about as ridiculous as watching some cars drive about :D

djarumdudley
14th February 2009, 21:31
the concept of driving to see a race is pretty strange as well. driving somplace to watch other people drive?!

MrJan
15th February 2009, 12:06
Exactly. Incidentally the men kicking a ball did very well yesterday, unlike the Habs we are on a roll and after going 1-0 up, then 2-1 down we came back to win 3-2 :bounce:

Donney
16th February 2009, 14:24
Ball-kicking quite a form of entertainment....

MrJan
16th February 2009, 20:09
Damn straight :D

Rollo
16th February 2009, 20:44
So is wiff waff:

"There I think you have the essential difference between us and the rest of world. Other nations, the French, looked at a dining table and saw an opportunity to have dinner. We looked at a dining table and saw an opportunity to play wiff waff. That is why London is the sporting capital of the world."
- Boris Johnson

MrJan
16th February 2009, 21:55
Eh?

djarumdudley
17th February 2009, 04:28
sounds like wiff waff is a weak version of beer pong.

[quote="Rollo"]So is wiff waff:

MrJan
17th February 2009, 07:51
I'm rubbish at beer pong, usually because I'm so wasted before I even play :mark:

Donney
17th February 2009, 10:23
I don't even know what beer pong is.

MrJan
17th February 2009, 11:57
It's a sport that involves a table, a ping pong (table tennis) ball, some cups and some beer :D

djarumdudley
18th February 2009, 01:13
you left out the glorius trash talking!

Donney
18th February 2009, 07:42
If it involves beer, sounds good enough to me.

MrJan
18th February 2009, 08:05
you left out the glorius trash talking!

That's because in England you rarely talk to anyone at a sporting event without it being trash talking :D

NoahsGirl
18th February 2009, 19:16
Come LW and talk to me in a more mature way

MrJan
18th February 2009, 22:31
Eh?

Donney
19th February 2009, 08:03
Poor LW, maturity????? That's preposterous... or something.

MrJan
19th February 2009, 11:02
Eh?

Donney
19th February 2009, 19:54
Dunno...

MrJan
19th February 2009, 21:04
Eh?

schmenke
19th February 2009, 21:26
Stimulating conversation :dozey:

djarumdudley
20th February 2009, 02:38

MrJan
20th February 2009, 07:52

schmenke
20th February 2009, 14:56

Sure!

schmenke
23rd February 2009, 15:40
Blah

MrJan
23rd February 2009, 20:09
Well isn't that a terrific way to bring down the tone of the thread Schmenke, go and sit in the naughty corner until you are sorry for what you have done.

Donney
24th February 2009, 10:35
Canadians!

MrJan
24th February 2009, 12:52
Indeed.

MrJan

djarumdudley
26th February 2009, 02:54

MrJan
26th February 2009, 13:28

schmenke
26th February 2009, 14:42
The LW is chillin' (literally) with me.

Donney
26th February 2009, 14:57
Here is warmer.

MrJan
26th February 2009, 15:01
Here is probably in between :D

schmenke
26th February 2009, 18:33
The LW is concerned about the lack of substance between your ears

MrJan
26th February 2009, 18:37
eh?

Rollo
26th February 2009, 20:47
Shouldn't Mr Schmenke be saying that?

MrJan
26th February 2009, 22:10
eh?

djarumdudley
27th February 2009, 05:09
the last word is a fan of words

MrJan
27th February 2009, 07:49
eh?

Donney
27th February 2009, 08:51
But only of previous words, since itself is the last one.

MrJan
27th February 2009, 09:05
eh?

schmenke
27th February 2009, 15:59
Perhaps, as Mr. Rollo suggests, Miguel is a Canadian? :mark:

MrJan

eugh

CarlMetro
1st March 2009, 22:50
There are many things which seem to have been lacking in my life during recent times, LW is certainly one of those, something which I am now changing for the better :D

MrJan
1st March 2009, 23:08
Oi, clear off. The LW belongs to me :p :

Welcome back Carl

Rollo
1st March 2009, 23:56
Did someone find their keys to get back in here?

djarumdudley
2nd March 2009, 02:21
too bad you couldn't keep yours.

MrJan
2nd March 2009, 08:06
I found some.

Donney
2nd March 2009, 12:18
I didn't lose any...

MrJan
2nd March 2009, 12:19
But you did lose your marbles.

Donney
2nd March 2009, 12:20
So long ago I don't remember when...

MrJan
2nd March 2009, 13:50
Eh?

schmenke
2nd March 2009, 16:53
I have sympathy for the LW, having to deal with you lot, so I'll be taking it under my care indefinately.

MrJan
2nd March 2009, 16:55
Eh? What's that all ahboot?

schmenke
2nd March 2009, 16:58
Well it's good to see that your vocabulary is expanding :mark:

MrJan
2nd March 2009, 21:43
eh?

Rollo
3rd March 2009, 02:30
The word vocabulary unfortunately is not actually in Mr Yeo's vocabulary , so I'm afraid that he doesn't know what vocabulary means.
He also knows two facts about ducks... and both of them are wrong.

djarumdudley
3rd March 2009, 02:52
the last word is now in my vocabulary.

MrJan
3rd March 2009, 08:08
Did you know that ducks can't feel pain?

Donney
3rd March 2009, 08:31
No I didn't.

MrJan
3rd March 2009, 09:38
They also have carbon fibre legs. FACT.

Anyway, yeah. I'm only here for LW stealing and silent forum wanderings.

MrJan
4th March 2009, 22:06
If Ms Darco turns up now then it will be very suspect.

schmenke
4th March 2009, 22:52
I haven't smelled anything yet...

MrJan
5th March 2009, 07:58
Then we're safe eh?

Donney
5th March 2009, 10:00
They will all return the LW is powerful....

MrJan
5th March 2009, 12:47
Eh?

Donney
6th March 2009, 09:41

MrJan
6th March 2009, 09:55
It's called the last word Donney, try at least to write something constructive.

Donney
6th March 2009, 16:11

djarumdudley
7th March 2009, 23:09
No diggity

MrJan
9th March 2009, 09:18
Probably best that I didn't have the LW over the weekend, might have been a bit heavy for the poor thing, it was for me anyway :S

Donney
9th March 2009, 09:55
I agree. probably best you don't have it at all...

MrJan
9th March 2009, 12:25
I disagree

schmenke
9th March 2009, 14:03
The LW is again chllin' with me today, and indefinately...

djarumdudley
10th March 2009, 02:49
it's defiantly with me.

MrJan
10th March 2009, 08:03
So the LW defies you?

Donney
10th March 2009, 08:16
The LW prefers my company.

MrJan
10th March 2009, 08:52
I doubt that.

Donney
10th March 2009, 15:58
No need of that.

MrJan
10th March 2009, 16:25
Eh?

Rollo
16th March 2009, 05:19
Not very imaginative are we?

MrJan
16th March 2009, 08:06
After 6940 posts as well as the old thread I think we're allowed to be unimaginative ;) :D

Donney
16th March 2009, 11:51
And I'm entitled to the LW. :D

MrJan
16th March 2009, 12:44
You're mistaken I'm afraid.

Donney
17th March 2009, 14:52
Don't be afraid, it's alright.

MrJan
17th March 2009, 16:28
I don't trust you though so I'm still afraid that you're mistaken ;)

Donney
17th March 2009, 19:33
Have a beer  and give me the LW if you please.

MrJan
17th March 2009, 21:01
