MrJan

I thought it went:

When I was just a little boy
I said to my mother what should I be
Should I be City, should I be Argyle, here's what she said to me
wash your mouth out son
go fetch your father's gun
and shoot the Argyle scum

That would be to the tune of "Que Sera Sera", mine was to the tune of "My Ding-A-Ling" by Chuck Berry.

By the way, your location listed as "Not tellin nah nah nah na" is most probably Exeter.

MrJan
30th January 2008, 13:11
Damn, how did you guess that? ;)

Is that my ding-a-ling as in: My ding-a-ling, my ding-a-ling, won't you come play with my ding-a-ling?

The boy before Lisa in the talent show sings the Chuck Berry song "My Ding-A-Ling" before being stopped by Principal Skinner, who angrily exclaims, "This act is over!"

Yes, I have a decent working knowledge of "The Simpsons"... I'm sorry.

MrJan
30th January 2008, 20:41

**** the world? Seems a bit extreme

Rollo
31st January 2008, 00:25
****ing the world might pose technical difficulties. For a start we don't know if it's male or female which would determine which set of... equipment it had. Maybe Mt Everest is a giant nadger, maybe the Grand Canyon is... (edited for MA +15 content).

The Smashing Pumpkins did tell us that The World is a Vampire, so more than likely if you did try to **** the World, then it would probably try to take a big ol' bite right out of your jugular vein and feast on the crimson tide below.

47-42, 47-42, 47-42. Hmm, these are the acceptable "vital statistics" for a lady who would be 7ft 6in assuming a "typical" lady has a waist-height ratio of 52%.

The only name which springs to mind is Jane Bunford would was Britain's tallest ever woman.

Donney
3rd February 2008, 21:11
The things you learn in this thread...

Rollo
3rd February 2008, 22:35
Have you ever considered returning to reality Rollo?

Why?

It's a world where the electric, water, council rates, gas & mortgage payments need to be made; where the neighbours on the left hand side have a child with a nasty case of colic and so keeps me awake half the night, where the front lawn is perpetually flooding because of a water course that runs down the lane way that's upside the property and flows across it and where I drive for an hour and 20 minutes to and from work to do a job which quite frankly I hate but will end up doing for the next 40 years.

Return to Reality? Ha! It's a place I'd rather stay out of... so I use the A40 bypass and either drive straight into Fantasy or Daydreaming.

Mp3 Astra

Talking of depressing, Miguel has football scores in his sig... COME ON, that's just silly! Especially because my neighbouring town apparently lost 4-0 to Miguel's team.

MrJan
4th February 2008, 10:24
Not only lost 4-0 but looked like they'd never even seen a football before let alone played with one. To be honest it's embarassing we only put 4 past them. And I'll continue to update the scores in my sig (unless we lose or the playoff dream is crushed ;) )

Rollo
4th February 2008, 21:47
If you wanted to make Mr Yeo depressed, one only needs to remind him of New Years Day 2008. Something about 1-0... Torquay?

MrJan
5th February 2008, 08:43
Yeah but we played well and had beaten them 4-3 on boxing day with only 10 men. Plus we most definately outsung them even though we were away. Some you win, wome you lose.

Had my daughter's baptism this morning :)
Now I'm about to plop myself in front of the boob-tube to watch the Jersey vs. Habs game, with a cold brew.
Not working tomorrorw.
Yeah, good day so far... :D

2nd March 2008, 01:16
friday night and saturday morning i suffered miserably at work as problem after problem prevented me from leaving. the payoff was nice as i was able to return home to an empty house, a just starting Las Vegas Nationwide race, and some cold Miller High Lifes.
tommorow is a different story as i help a roommate move out.

I have discovered that drinking a pint of espresso coffee as part of a bet is not only truly strange, but that I now have light spots in my eyes.

Rollo
3rd March 2008, 21:55
Um, I hate to point this out but it's actually Burnley who play on "The Turf" and not Exeter, Exeter play at St James' Park.

How much does a Grecian Urn?

Mp3 Astra
4th March 2008, 00:35
As much as you want? Oh wait that's string...

Anyway, time for a Birthday LW before I go to sleep and then wake to "L" plates and a general driving-themed day. :D

MrJan

Don't make me pop over to Exeter City and turn the turf upside down...

Not playing at home for a few weeks and our excellent groundstaff could take care of it. Unlike most BSP teams you can actually tell when the turf is upside down.

Rollo

What about changing your name to something awful like Farty McCrablice and then cure a disease, so they'll have to name a street after you, and the Prime Minister will have to say, "God bless Farty McCrablice".

The Matlock Expressway formerly known as the Michael Jackson Expressway would become the Farty McCrablice Expressway :D
