Not surprised. He seemed pretty certain when he said he'd do 10 rounds in 2026, but he already added 2 to the program. I imagine he'll do all the remaining rounds, as long as he has a chance for the title.

Well, he's not breaking any rules, you can't really punish him, but it's unsportsmanlike.

If you want to game the road position you could very well drive in all rallies and be intentionally last in some. So it really does not change anything in my opinion

I wouldn't say offended, more like disgusted. I don't like people who say one thing and then do another.

Ogier thinks skipping a couple of rallies gives him a better chance for the title, and doesn't admit it. 3rd season in a row that he tries hard for the title adding rallies to his program. I only read you on the forum believing the "I don't care about the championship" fairytale that Ogier told.

Nobody would do that. Other than being a waste of time, such a blatant thing would attract lots of criticism. Maybe keeping 2nd position and not attack for 1st to get a better position next round, I can see that.

Maybe it was a bit too harsh, let's say you can game your results this way that you are where Ogier currently is in the standings and drive all rallies

He could totaly do Dakar and go against Sainz, Peterhansel, Ekstrom, Al Atiyah and also Toyota is there. I think he would have plenty of time for his family and is somehow similar to rallying.

For the new stages: Menalo is high-speed for the most part, not so rough, and has two sections in open plateaus, one with a sort of "arena section". Kolines is extremely twisty, sandy surface, people said it reminds them of Rally Portugal, and has a couple of watersplashes, on of which caused a bit of drama in 2007 when the route was in a local rally.
