Good point by @BritRallyMedia...

SS14 Safari Rally - Jon Armstrong completed the stage 21min down.

Ogier, Neuville, Evans & Solberg didn’t even start the stage but were 11 mins ‘quicker’ after receiving stage max for super rallying... and finished ahead of Armstrong overall.

How is this fair?

I can't think of a better way of doing it for the rally, but it could halve the championship points.

Better would`ve been all WRC2 cars did stage 16 were they even wouldn´t have come mor than 5K and all got stuck? Now they didn´t have to drive SS16... Another way of seing what´s fair or not.

He had the chance to retire too.

Not exactly what we want to see, but those are the rules.

The rally was entertaining for sure. But something been lost when Safari became a closed road event? I mean now instead of proper roads, they use narrow paths and grass fields. Those are probably easier to close than roads used daily, but get easily destroyed and cause cancellations when rain comes

That does not seem to be fixed yet, as best I can tell. I can't see when the entry list is published.

Personally, I bet he will.

Well, that aged well.

What a event, got the chance to visit it this year. Absolutely loved it, but probably a "one and done" event. The chaos is something else.

If he'd have known SS16 was to be cancelled he'd have also finished one place higher than he actually did.

Seb Ogier seems to be suggesting that the alternator issues were a problem not resolved from 2025.

If that's the case, that will come as a surprise that Toyota was not on top of things at the event.
