I will facilitate the pickems competition once again this year. As usual, any comments/questions about the pickems should be discussed in this thread, and the round/overall results will also be posted here.

No, the rules are that the worst result won't be counted. As we have only had two events, one of them is your worst and won't be counted so the total is your current best.

I see that overall positions are not split for players with equal total points results, which i believe fine for now, but the same happened to 1st position for some reason and it doesn't seem right, maybe you can check your algorithm?

Wow, really didn`t expect this after such a result wise `strange´ rally...or second in the row let`s say. Thank you deephouse :)

@Jajà Stop time for Pickem is a bit confusing. SS1 Águeda starts 15.05 local time, which should be at 16.05 CEST. (not CET)
Pickems stop time is atm 14.00 CET...

I was left without pickems for Portugal due to the server breakage. It is and it isn`t my fault as I tried from 13:00 CET (16:00 CET was deadline) with refreshing of the site but started to work again only now for me... :/

This sounds fair to me. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again, but to avoid situations like this in the future, maybe we could create a “season pick’em” that would be used if something similar happens.

One site where I used to make predictions had a system like this for accidentally forgetting to submit picks, but you could only use it once or twice per season. However, if there was a “blackout,” it wouldn’t count toward that limit.

Maybe this makes things too complicated, but it could be one possible solution.

Edit - wanted to add that I had a prediction so it doesn't come from the point of not having one and trying to convince you.

My case - i had the opportunity to set pickems in advance(the day before rally start), but decided to wait closer to the start of the rally, to see the weather and some news from shakedown, etc...
5 hours before rally start I remembered that I need to set pickems, but forum was down for me. I checked if it works several time an hour up until the rally start, but it didn't worked for me, so I missed the deadline.
Is it different from the case if simply forgot to place pickems by my fault? I would say no.
Some may disagree with me though....

May be it would be better if active members would vote for decision on Portugal pickems results?

I also missed my pickems due to waiting until close to the start.....and then I couldn't get in contact with the site. I see this as back luck for me, and it is OK, that I get no points in this round.

For me, pickems is just for fun, but its funnier if its fair too:)
If the majority think its ok, its same for me if its count or not.
